    SUGGESTION: Difficulty options

I like FAR CRY games. In fact I really like them. But all too often I’m craving a more hardcore experience.

It would really be great to have some options to customise various things in the game in order to get the preferred experience.

    OPTIONS like,

    1) Abundance/ Scarcity of ammo and Medical supplies found in the world or dropped by enemies. LOW-MEDIUM-HIGH

    2) Turn Health Regen OFF

    3) Enemies damage rate LOW-MEDIUM-HIGH

    4) Enemy health LOW-MEDIUM-HIGH

See I want the FARCRY experience but would prefer to tweak it to a more hardcore survival type experience.

I find in a post apocalyptic world — it’s important to make exploration and scavenging meaningful. To give the game world a robust economy that keeps the player invested.

    For me this is key.

So for example a ‘bad economy’ is rewarding the player with money but then not having anything to spend that money on.

Unfortunately a lot of games suffer from this and FAR CRY is no exception.

I find FARCRY games generally have bad economies that often dry up pretty quick, often early to midway through the game, making exploration redundant. The rewards cease to be meaningful or translate into anything useful.

So that’s where having OPTIONS to tweak the experience can create a better in game economy. For example, simply by making an essential commodity in the game harder to come by, you increase its value. This then in turn feeds into other activities in the game like scavenging and makes exploration more of a continuing necessity.

So making ammo and other supplies less abundant for example produces this result.

Survival horror games understand this principle very well by having clearly thought out in-game economies that feed into exploration as a necessity.

How much more do open worlds need this....?

So it would be great to have OPTIONS ..... to better create these kinds of gameplay loops
