After seeing some youtube reviews I had some thoughts about what could be done better.
What I can see as the biggest problem is the endgame.
A lot of players said there is nothing interesting. The last addition of repetitive event missions in Division 1 felt like the worst for me. There was no meaning for it, it felt like exercise.
Also DLCs were at the price of ordinary story DLCs in other games, but what we got was 1 random dungeons set using the same assets with the same enemies, 1 survival mode using the same assets with the same enemies and 1 PvP mode a lot of PVE players didn't know about and felt like waste of their money.
Then Massive switched to free to play/gambling boxes additional content because a lot of players were not happy with the content of DLCs, and they didn't make something more complicated instead. I thought that the reason was fixing the game for too long, but now it looks like it will be the same in Division 2?
I didn't think about why I never really played endgame in Division 1 before - it just didn't feel right, but after I saw those videos I realized that I do play endgame in MMOs usually, so maybe there is something what could be done better so it would feel more appealing and not just harder?
The biggest problem is that Division endgame reuses missions from the Main mission or something which look very similar to it.
But I usually play endgame missions which were not used in the main game and they are very different looking/feeling, shocking even.
So what about forgetting about another Hotels, warehouses, hospitals etc, and making something really cool like half flooded really overgrown water plant, churches, or that pvp zone made for pvp DLC, which was waste because pvp players usually don't care that much about visuals, and make it endgame environment with some really cool enemies instead?
Another thing is Bosses. I don't mind bulletsponges if it does require skills to take them down - like shooting to 1 spot to get to the weak spot, but I have to agree - they look very ordinary. And I get that this is pseudo military kind of game, but still there is a lot of available withing mantinels of the setting you could use - like those enemies aren't really ordinary people, are they, so why they do look ordinary? Why they don't look really mad, crazy with really different looking armor?
PvP thoughts:
I wasn't able to play this new pvp zones, but I do like the idea of rogue thief.
The problem is that there is nothing connected to it for now. What if there would be less bulletspongy enemies in darkzones, but reacting to you as rogue, also a lot of stable environment hazard, where you could use your knowledge to your advantage. With a lot of tough enemies you need a group, with a group you will not be able to do the zone solo and feel like you can hide from enemies and just steal things.
