Why is it that the players run out of ammunition, but the npcs don't, is this a case of the house( meaning Ubisoft) always win(rhetorical), because during a battle with the npc they seem to have unlimited ammunition, while we the players run out rather quickly, all I'm asking is to make the playing field a little more even.
Outside of a few scenarios, I have rarely run out of ammo in m 2k hours of TD1. I have occasionally in resistance because I didn't want to open the ammo crate because it costs SHD. I also have once or twice in the Underground running that directive that increases stability but reduces ammo. On this one, I have only ran out on SMG since I am limited to that and pistol with my D3 build. On other builds, I generally start a fire fight with my 'non-preferred' weapon since this is when enemies are typically weaker than they are in later waves. I ALWAYS roll off XP on either backpack or chest (I forget which has extra ammo or XP choice), and for D3j or snipers due to them both using primarily one weapon, I usually roll extra +ammo on the other spot. On other builds, I generally go for DtE or resistance of some type.
The best solution would be to give the NPCs a limited ammo capacity and make them use co-ordinated tactics to fight us, like for example, a few snipers give the other npcs cover ....the problem is, the only time the enemies rush me is when they are Gold.......that is when it could take 3-4 clips to take them out and they can kill you 10x within that amount of time.
The best way to take them out solo is to do alot of running away, even though they can run as fast as you and use any type of weapon is be 100% accurate.........i mean an Uzi 9mm somehow hit me most of the time at 75m away, give or take.
The game was good overall.
The one thing they should do is make the weapons as accurate as our weapons are, i have seen them using an Uzi 9mm to hit me at 75m away, a sniper rifle can do it sure, but not an Uzi....they are inaccurate for anything further than medium range......that is likely one of the main issues, not unlimited ammo.
