There’s a lot of things to talk about, so I put them in to categories, please read till the end.

I do want to give feedback to the positive changes as well, but I would like to start with the problems I see:

Problems:
Menus and settings:
I really hope that many of my problems with menus is only because of a shortcut for the beta.
I have over 700 hours in The Division in little over a year on PC and most of it is from the dark zone. I never rage quit in the first Division, but the menu layout of Division 2 made me so furious that I almost did.
The current menus are clearly made for console players with no regards for pc players with keyboard and mouse usage. Because of this, I spent as little time in the menus as possible, not trying many options.
First off, there’s no “quit game” button, first you must log out and after the game loaded the main menu, then you can quit.
Navigating the main menu is a lot harder with keys with non-sensical controls. For example: Switching between the characters is “T” and “V” for me. This might be because I changed some key bindings for in game play but why are in game key bindings also translated to the in menu key bindings, that you can’t set separately. (If they are separate, then there’s still the problem of why many of the keys were changed.) The only thing I could come up with is: because of consoles and controllers. In The Division I could deconstruct with “X”, now it’s “Tab”.
In the setup menu you can see half of the potion on screen compared to the first game so you have a worse overview of all settings ….. again, feels like a game made for consoles.
In many menus you have to double slick with your mouse or click and then push select to activate the sub menu.
In the audio setup, please clarify what audio mix means what, It’s the same like in the first game but you have a headphone option. Is this a stereo headphone or a surround one?
In the inventory menu it’s harder to lock an item (select a favorite), when you select something for being junk, it doesn’t go to the next item, you have to go to it.
If you want to deconstruct multiple items from the main inventory menu, it will stop when you move the mouse.
In the first game weapon modding menu could be chosen by a right click on the mouse, not here.
The weapon modding menu of the first game was clearer, you could see on first glance, what mods you can put on that weapon, now you have to look at the gun closely and try to find all mod possibilities.
Opening loot boxes is really slow for no point and when you pushed the button for about 4 seconds, it asks if you really want to open it. There is no point for that prompt and pushing a button for 2 seconds would be more than enough to be sure that the player wants to open the box.
After opening a loot box, an empty menu box stays there for no reason.

There’s a lot less color in the inventory menu, feels like it gives less information than in the first game and harder to find item in it.
All together the game makes it a lot more complicated to navigate the menus and change things compared to its predecessor.
I enjoyed tweaking my gear in the first game, currently with this menu layout in Division 2, I don’t want to go near it.

Gameplay:
Had a lot of performance problems. I was able to reach about half the FPS of the first game with lower settings then in the first game. (I’m using a 8700K on 4.9 GHz, 16GB ram, RTX 2080 2.04 GHz and NVMe ssd for the game files)
Please put back the level progression indicator that’s shown all the time. (Top right corner in game)
Selecting something on the map is problematic in some cases.
Path finding in some cases goes through buildings with no entrances.
The game fast travels to the wrong destination.
Some boxes can’t be looted even dough they are active and lit.
In some cases, doors don’t get activated ore some items aren’t lit that you have to use. I had most problems with these in the “search for 4 explosives” mission.
Some doors can be opened without shooting the lock off.
Slow/sluggish reaction to keyboard and mouse input (With input latency on).
It seems to be more organic with a controller.
Numerous audio glitches: can’t hear my shots, I only hear the first 2 shots, explosions.
The sounds in the underground sound weird. (Maybe the echo effect)
Invisible enemies shooting at me.
I had problems with hit detection on enemies
Twice when I wanted to roll off a closed container, I found myself inside of it.
Sometimes the running feels slow
Some prompts are shown mirrored (I have Ctrl for taking cover)
Some prompts don’t show the proper key (I have “E” for interaction and when I wanted to revive someone, it showed “F to revive”)
Please enable running in the entire safe zones: In the Boo there are more places where you stop running, have to walk few meters and then you can start running again.
Please make sniper scope aim optional like in the first game
Enemies stuck behind closed doors are getting insta-killed (what I wanted to advise) if I saw it correctly, but if they have something mission critic, it stays behind the closed door as well. Please keep these items’ spawn location independent from killed enemy.
Please make being shocked duration a lot shorter. Because of the shorter time to kill, if you get shocked, it’s a death sentence both in PvE and PvP (it’s extra annoying in PvE)
I don’t see any feedback on screen about my microphone. I’m not sure if it’s working or not. (can’t seem to test it in menus either)
Using a skill is too slow (animation).
When the game froze, and I had to log out to fix it, I got an error message that Easy Anti cheat is violated. This freaked me out because if the program recognizes its termination as a cheat attempt, I could get locked out of the game for no fault of my own.

PvE:
Enemies are bullet sponges, Even the lover level ones.
I checked, and I can faster kill an elite enemy in the first game with PVP optimized gear in the DZ than 1 low level enemy in this game with the gears I had.
The weapons feel a lot less effective than in the first game. The only usable weapons are LMG-s because of the magazine size and DMG output per sec. SMGs and ARs can’t come even close to them and because some ARs can’t even be outfitted with bigger magazines, they became useless. (At least the ones I saw.)
In some case you can’t even kill a low-level enemy with an AR. Also +30% magazine size is nothing against these enemies especially at end game.
Because of these reasons, currently you might have to camp or retreat for 10 minutes in 1 room especially if you have a healer enemy who you can’t get to, because other 5 enemies are shooting at you and you get killed in 2 seconds. (Compared to the first game, the enemies are harder to kill, and the player is a lot easier to kill)
Seeker mine and turret path finding is glitchy.
Please make crafting faster.
Please put back the replay mission function to the floating menu in the beginning of story missions.
How random are random loot drops? I got 10-15 LMGs and hardly any other weapons, so I could hardly use anything else then LMGs.

PVP:
The second day in the DZ I already met 3 solo rogue players in a team (probably communicating through other means…. don’t want to name any software)
Please put penalty on this (for the normalized DZs only) or a team of rogues can clear a server with no one having a chance. Maybe with damage/sec penalty for 2 rogues who stand closer to each other than 20m and not shooting at each other.
Snipers one shoting players.
Seeker mine damage it too high against payers. This could be solved with a lower base damage and added “damage to elites” so the PvE balance doesn’t change.
After a rogue in a team is dead and comes back to play there should be 10 seconds for “initializing rogue status” because they get shot by the turrets in the normalized DZs.
Please separate melee/scope aim from player info
It would help a lot for situational awareness if I could see, who’s rogue from a longer distance and player deaths would show up on the map (like in the first game).
Please restore the 30 sec. respawn time for all rogues.
Please make DZ communication optional for any of the 3 DZs (maybe with an icon on top of players who muted all other players). I had a lot of good experiences with other players in the DZ and would like to have the ability to talk to others.

Good changes:
All over more tactical approach.
No instant medkit makes your decisions and positioning more important.
No separate amination for opening small boxes (I hope this is a feature, not a bug 😊 )
Running on stairs feels a lot better than in the first game.
Loved the new style of skirmish and again with the more tactical approach.
The new, faster hopping over obstacle animation feels great.
I loved the new missions and the interconnectivity among them.
I see that they put a lot of effort in the overhauling of the gear system.
I loved the visuals and the details: The first time I started the game, I had a racoon next to me. 😊
Chicken dance is gone

I put as much hours to the beta as I could, and I loved many parts of it. The problem is that the parts I didn’t like might be part of the core mechanics. Currently this game is a beta for console with no PC gamers in mind. I preordered the ultimate edition because I figured I’m going to sink thousands of hours in the game, so why not. Currently I don’t know if there’s any point for it. If the exotic AR is going to me as “good” as the other ARs I saw in the beta and I don’t really care about cosmetics, I would be better off with the standard edition or even waiting till the menus are fixed and buy the game a few % off.
