Just been going over my notes from the beta this weekend and there were quite a few instances where my movement commands seem to have a lag between input and the character on screen acting.
I can understand that this is probably to prevent the chicken dance and that's fine (ish) for normal movement, but can this be removed for the first dodge move? I lost count the number of times I was killed because I wanted my character to move, but they didn't move fast enough (especially when it comes to dodge rolls from rushers etc).
Also, I'm not entirely sure how much armour everyone has been running with, but with 8 armour bars I still felt incredibly squishy, relying on the fixer drone to increase my survivability, even in 2-on-1 scenarios with red NPCs, especially when they were out flanking and doubly so if they were shotgunners (just checked, with 2 armour bars left my character died in 4 shotgun blasts at medium range).
A quick question for the theorycrafters amongst us - is the armour rating a linear progression or does it trend upwards/down the more armour you have?
One thing I really want to say is the map looks amazing. There are a few rough edges where you have clipping issues, but other than that Massive (and teams) have done a great job on it. Cheers!
