The LVOA isn't it supposed to be an Assault rifle with rapid fire?

In the Div 1 the LVOA is a rapid fire rifle. An assault rifle must have selective fire. The Div2 as the LVOA as a single fire rifle? Is that going to be the new norm? Perhaps there's a way to select single fire or rapid? I can't locate that option, if it exists.

The U.S. Army defines assault rifles as "short, compact, selective-fire weapons that fire a cartridge intermediate in power between submachine gun and rifle cartridges."[16] In a strict definition, a firearm must have at least the following characteristics to be considered an assault rifle:
1- It must be capable of selective fire.
2- It must have an intermediate-power cartridge: more power than a pistol but less than a standard rifle or battle rifle, such as the 7.92×33mm Kurz, the 7.62x39mm and the 5.56x45mm NATO.
3- Its ammunition must be supplied from a detachable box magazine.[5]
4- It must have an effective range of at least 300 meters (330 yards).

    The LVOA-C is a semi-automatic rifle, now?

I knew something was off, when I got an ACR and it turned out to be semi-automatic. Is this supposed to keep us from playing with some of the most popular weapons in TD1? If so, that's really lame.

Yup a shock when loading up the end game and finding out what the LVOA-C is now. I have kind of enjoyed "rifles" in the beta since mods are worthless, now a good rifle is a way to gain some accuracy and stability. Is that the reason?, since mods suck and so can't be relied upon to lessen the recoil without gimping the gun ...

Yeah I was also a little saddened seeing this. It would make more sense for the FN FAL in a way instead. I also found and looted a Competition LAR-15 which is categorized as a Rifle, so hopefully it's just a civilian variant of sorts? Even though it isn't really clear if it is or not.

In the end game mission i picked up a Police M4. With the right mods on it, turned into a 60 round laser beam. Some assault rifles are still down right filthy ha.

I found the LVOA-C pretty useful in the endgame content (and it was only a purple).

I agree! There absolutely needs to be select-able fire for certain assault rifles in D2. Wildlands has it, so why cant D2 have it also. To many Assault Rifles from D1 are now semi auto and it feels off.

The C stands for carbine, which is a semiautomatic. LVOA-S would be the select fire version. I'd say it's working as designated.

People are so afraid to give up the M4 and try something new, huh? I knew it.
