At night, certain areas of the map are literally impossible to explore, since you can't see anything in front of you. The same goes inside certain buildings. Can you please add a flashlight to the agents' basic mechanics, that we can turn on/off whenever we want? That'd make things much easier.
I agree. In a library mission, when you search for survivors, you enter the dark room from a dark hall. Even though there isn't a great difference, as you enter the room you hardly see anything. If it's a game mechanic, a flashlight would help with the immersion - I mean, you wouldn't enter a dark room without checking it out before, would you.
All the best!

I honestly don't know about night or thermal vision, but the flashlight seems to be the easiest solution to the problem, in my opinion.
Parts of the game, not only missions, but ordinary exploration, at night, are incredibly underwhelming because you can barely see a thing in front of you. Don't get me wrong, I think that's very realistic in a post-apocalyptical scenario. But on the other hand, it'd also be realistic for the agents to carry a flashlight, in order to facilitate exploration. The simplest example, is The Last of Us, where we have a flashlight attached to the bagpack's strapping. That way, it will always point towards where we're facing.

One of the SHD tech missions had me go into a dark corner to look for the box. It was black. I could see it you the little map but not on the floor. I spammed the F key something fierce and still no luck. I checked the floor below but it wasn't dark and it wasn't there. I went through that mission 3 times and concluded the SHD box was bugged.
