Is this The Division 2 or PUGB 2?
First, I loved the original game.
I've never played PUGB because I have no interest in it. I liked The Division because it had an (at least some) element of realism. It was like a post-apocalyptic Splinter-Cell.
I feel like PUGB and Fortnite are for kids. Not saying adults don't play them (or that teenagers didn't play The Division), but I just don't like The Division 2 at all.
The first downer was character selection. WTF? Where are the not-stupid ones?
The second negative is the graphics (I'm on PC BTW). They are more cartoon-like than the original. I don't understand how a company can come out with the next version of a game, and have the graphics look worse, but congrats...
I was in the Marines for most of my life, so I just can't deal with the cartoon scavenger-hunt games.
I actually got this game for free when I bought a GPU, but I'm not going to install it - at least not until it gets better.
Things I can't figure out
- how do I take a med kit?
-in the original game, if I selected a seeker drone, it actually went toward a tgt. In this game, it shows some weird graphic, and I don't know what to press to activate it?
All you had to do was release The Division in a new city, update the graphics, and fix some issues...that's it! I would have been thrilled with that.
Things I hated about The Division and wish would be fixed in The Division 2:
-Rouge agents. I don't get why this was even in the game. I think it's a horrible feature. What made it worse, was they were almost impossible to kill! I was literally involved with an 8 vs 2 fight with rouges, and they were running around (out in the open) in between all of us - all us pumping magazines into them, and it still took about 30 seconds for us to kill them. And they took a few of us out in the process. This is just stupid, and does not, in any way, make the game fun.
-If you kill a named enemy - he should drop a piece of his gear EVERY TIME you kill him.
-The massive gulf in difficulty between hard and challenging was just insane! I rarely played missions with other players so I guess that needs to be considered, However, after I reached level 30, I started doing the daily challenges. The hard missions were actually really easy. I actually think some were easier than on normal (because my gear was better). But Challenging and Legendary were just stupid hard. I only played them twice. I finished them both, but it took me at least and hour because of the endless waves of elites that take 500 headshots each to take down.
Anyway - I was really excited for The Division 2, but this beta is a massive let-down. If this is the direction you want to take the series, then good luck...I won't be coming along.
