    The Division 2 possible crossover...?

I was probably the first to think it would fit with Ghost Recon but now that we got a taste of The Division 2 things start to get interesting... First and most important par tis the new Black Tusk faction since they are a mysterious private military looking faction and they have very advanced technology like drones, nanotech, thoose scary Boston Dynamics robot dogs with a .50 cal and more. So where does this tech come from?! Thats where I think some Ghost Recon crossover could come in play(maybe or maybe not in Wildlands) because I think Skell Tech is where this Black Tusk faction got all this gear. And the plot thickens with theese bad guys since it looks like they have specific orders to take out the division and anything related to it and they have the specific equipement to do so... Just speculating but this new endgame faction looks very interesting(way more than the LMB from TD1)

Well the voice for the guy in the div. 2 beta (I forget his name but he's the main guy at the Whitehouse base of operations) I'm fairly sure is the same exact one for nomad. Also the voiceover for the opening I think was done by the same voice actor as Karen bowman. Just hearing the voice and hearing that he was head of comms made me immediately think of GRW

I knew their voices seemed familiar! I guess that's just a coïncidence but it's still highly possible that the two games will meet at some point... I just want to see robot dogs with .50 cal in Ghost Recon and maybe the absolute unit that is the Juggernaut you can encounter in TD2.

Why the division? I mean, if you are playing the game why would you want a half assed mission where whomever division character they bring in would be a backdrop and if you are not playing that game (like I am for example) why would I care to play a half assed mission with a character I don't know that will just be a backdrop.

Seriously though, what is this infatuation with bringing all types of different Genres to this game? isn't having RPG on a tactical shooter enough? Perhaps bringing potions and voodoo stuff is what this game needs.

For me its not as much about desire as much as balancing desire and likelihood. I totally hear your argument there with the RPG shooter, but hey it wasn't my decision to release 4 updates that were themed around other UBI games. I would personally much rather see a real military spec op theme that would include a 416 with a top rail mounted atpial, suppressor shroud, and a nice worn camouflage look, along with maybe a correctly sized customizable pump shotgun, idk maybe have a slug option. Even an hk 433 or a dedicated scar dmr platform like the division has. Also include a short barrel for the m4 and stock and a Glock. And oh, idk, but maybe BI-F*CKING-PODS. But you and I both know that is a pipe dream, never going to happen(specifically the Glock)

In reality your point about half assed missions is a valid one, but made null by the past year of half assed missions that ubi seems only capable of making. I'm waiting for the next game, I've given up hoping for something, the devs have made it clear from their quality and content that funds are going elsewhere. What seems most likely to me is re-used assets and crossovers to support other ubi franchises. Splintercell-check, R6, Check, Futuresoldier, check. That leaves farcry, watchdogs, and the division. And between those, I'd go division any day. Also people keep bringing up this obscure hawkx thing, listen, Ubi has said it has no plans to add jets. Nor do I think they would waste this marketing opportunity to boost a game thats 9 years old and doesn't have near the sales or notoriety of other ubi titles they could pick from. Would I like jets, sure. But again, pipe dreams. This is about managing expectations, balancing likelihood with desires.

I don't have an "infatuation" with adding different types of genres, that would be Ubisoft.

I couldn’t care less if the next cross-over is with The Division or Mario + Rabbids but it’s super dumb that with all the creative talent at Ubisoft, they can’t think of something original for this game. We can only hope the team that did Fallen Ghosts inherits this franchise, they were the best thing that ever happened to this game. I truly hope for something epic like FG, but am not expecting much.

I really hope they leave us with something that makes me want to play this game again.

Ps... Will someone who likes stealth and the open world tactical shooter we all enjoy here, also enjoy the Division 2? I have to say, the idea of robots packing 50-cals and guys in Mech Warrior suits like I saw in one promo clip really turns me off. Why do they need all that futuristic stuff to make an interesting game?

I like stealth game but also The Division 2(the first one not so much) and from my thoughts on the beta they've improved a lot and the game feels more polished... The enemies aren't so much bullet sponges unless you play on harder difficulties and the PvP has been balanced(because it clearly wasn't before) and as for the crossover it would be interesting not because of the new tech or robot dogs(same thing) but for the story. I could easily see the events of The Division 1 and 2 happening after Ghost Recon Future Soldier since the SHD tech looks similar to what you're able to use in FS and since an ARG was found in the GR:FS update teasing "something" about Skell Tech.
    I
t wouldn't surprise me if some plot element linked Skell Tech with the new Black Tusk unit and their gear. And it would also be a perfect opportunity to add the MK. 32 MGL and a lot of new guns to Wildlands. I get that the RPG shooter style isn't really fiting for a tactical game but if the gameplay is good and the game has a lot to offer why not?! The Division is the type of game that you have to try to see if you like it and if you don't like the futuristic stuff it isn't on a Call of Duty Black Ops 3 or Advanced Warfare level of ******** futuristic tech. In fact it stays "realistic" since the only futuristic tech you'll find already exists. Drones, robot dogs(Boston Dynamics), RAWRs, juggernaut armors and EMP jammers and maybe nanotech is little over the top but it's to justify healing even if now you switch your body armor plates to heal. Don't be tuned off by the technology because it's the same as Ghost Recon Future Soldier.

PS: I'm really curious to see what the next Ghost Recon game will look like. Honestly I like The Division because of the cover system and the smooth character animations and I really want Ghost Recon to go back to that cover system along with better character animations because GRW's felt a little awkward and robotic at times.

The events of The Division take place in an alternate timeline like endwar, and can not connect to the cannon of the expanded Clancy naritive. However, although the events of the division can not take place (dollar flu), that does not mean The Devision as an agency or personnel do not exist in the connected narrative.

I also enjoyed both the Matchwood and Silent Spade crossover events, it was really only the Rainbow 6 mission that felt out of place for me. It seemed logical that Sam Fisher would leverage the ghosts for heavy support, and it was great to have Scott Mitchell leverage the team to intercept the platonium shipment at short notice. The personal revenge vibe from the team rainbow crossover felt out of place stacked against the severity of the other special operations.

I am really looking forward to rescuing Crinshaw or Jester in the HAWX cross over event

UBI could care less about time or timelines and they will add whatever theme crap they decide it will bring in more money from the brainless massed, my peeve with all of this crap is that GR has been castrated with everyone wanting the game to add different Genres to it... I guess it was bound to happen.

Now that you mention it... HAWX would be a cool crossover but the only way I could see this work is if the event allows you to call in airstrikes.
