To maybe rephrase the argument, after trying all 3 specializations, it's easy to see how the game is more geared around having a group with synergy in their build to "easily" tackle the hardest challenges. The game is far more unforgiving when playing solo as you are limited to the skills and build. In a group, one person can heal, one person can suppress, one can area control with grenades and artillery and one person can deal massive dps from a distance. Solo you are doing all this alone, but the enemy behavior is the same with only a little less health. While not impossible to do solo, I think that may be what he is referring to when saying it's harder to do.

It's such a shame no one seems able to make a game like this with slightly more realistic game-play. I watched a video on YouTube of a person in endgame with a 50 cal sniper rifle. They aimed at an enemy soldiers head (who wan not wearing a helmet) and scored a head-shot. That enemy lost a very small amount of health.

Also, why can't they have solo play spawn slightly fewer re-enforcement's. Not easier enemies, but just a couple less, add an extra 3 or 4 for duo-teams, 6 or 8 more for 3 players and 10 for 4 players. AND limit the grenades they carry like players have limits, and occasionally let them miss the target.

    You can do it SOLO!

I did a couple of these mission solo and with one friend too....its fun bro....! You need to keep trying the missions and you will succeed it happened to me during the beta.

The issue with solo is the amount of aggro you attract. Try using the turret skill to get the enemies to shoot at something other than you.

i also sympathize, but this game should not be made easier. I have soloed this beta all the way to max level and had no issues. I also soloed the entire first game (because none of my friends have the game) I also had a tough time doing the control points. because i tried them at level 1 with crappy gear. so i waited till i did the story missions, side missions, and so on. Till i got higher level and better gear. you have to be tactical, ALWAYS use cover, retreat if you are out gunned or the AI is flanking you, use your skills, and above all, always aim for the head, they go down fast.

Sorry about your disability and don't take this the wrong way not trying to be hostile or rude but how dose it let you play missions but not the capture points not sure I understand.

I think he's saying his disability is why he's solo. It doesn't have anything to with control points or missions.

I tried everything solo and though some were hard all were doable. With the control points you have to watch the npcs rushing you, and watch for grenades, rc bombs etc... You can clear reds very quickly, so removing a large number of the assailants quickly can make the missions allot more doable (that's at least the way I did it). Unlike allot of the content in D1, cover is essential in D2.

If they made it easier no point in playing to be honest, at this point in time it is a question of people playing the game correctly using armor kit before all your armor is gone and USE COVER stop trying to fight enemies out in the open and if you are unable to shoot incoming grenades out of the air then move once grenades start flying.

If you go slower nd smarted it is soloable. Mobs call out what they are doing. If you hear flank hin then look to the side because 1 is coming at you.

Change your cover up you cant sit in the same spot. If you change positions often they do actually loose site of you.

I think for solo and duo the difficulty is pretty good. Groups of 4 do become kind of spongy though.
