I have currently been playing the Division 2 beta for a day and these are some of my thoughts so far..
SCENERY - So far so good! DC looks amazing! However the graphics need a slight tweak and some polishing - which could be addressed upon release. (?)
AI - Nice to see them react in a smarter way, much more aggressive and overall a nice improvement when in combat. Sometimes feels as though they are hitting a bit too hard - possibly intended to be easier in a group and harder with less players ?
FACTIONS - The factions are really cool! I am liking the creativity in some of their weapon choices and the realism compared to Division 1. Looking forward to seeing the other ones.
COMMUNITY SERVICES - I find helping the community Control Points has given more depth to the Division 2 as an Agent and it will be interesting to see how that plays throughout the game.
MOVEMENT - I'm finding the change from division 1 is a lot more clunky and a slower speed pace. Is this going to be improved? I am however glad to see that Division 2 will no longer have the gliding strafe aka "chicken dance" but a slight improvement in the character movement would make the game experience smoother and less frustrating.
GUN ATTACHMENTS - Where do I begin? This is one of my biggest concerns to the Division 2. There needs to be a major improvement here. Is it necessary to give us a negative attribute? Other than the fact they give a positive and negative, I am finding most people won't use gun attachments, as it will ruin the build overall.
Example. Light extended magazine + 30 rounds - %20 rpm WHY? That just sounds stupid in my honest opinion. Why not come up with a better solution in looking for the balance and not a repetitive use of the same 1 or 2 gun attachments? What we unlock, we will ALL have and use for specific weapons and builds, if that isn't balanced, then what is??
GUN TALENTS - So far from what I've seen, a few of the gun talents are looking very poor for specific weapons and are looking similar to the gun attachments with a positive and negative attribute. The community won't be happy with this change. There was nothing wrong with the idea of Division 1 talents and in that similar regard.
I will need to see more of them to get a thorough examination.
ROGUE - The rogue (red) gamertags aren't very visible. Why is it SELECT to go rogue? Why does the Rogue cancel when no longer cutting the extraction rope? The kill feed is confusing - Distance and location isn't specific. It feels like we are skulking around the DZ looking to engage in pvp and the only way to find them is usually the extraction.
The power of the M870 in the DZ is OP and needs to be addressed.
UI - The writing is too small at the bottom left interaction section ?? kill feed, agent in help, agent gone rogue, agent returned to SHD. etc
Mission objectives (top left) and mission objective marker are both a bit too small - They are easily missed.
