Shock Ammo and / or shock status last too long

The shock status effect is imo much too long. feels a lot longer compared to TD1 for sure it is hard to say because atm it's not clear if you can get some resistance against this status effects later in the game. But especially because you are a lot more squishy you have no chance to survive (even against npc) at all.

Burn effect looks just really bad and weird imo but its okey. Don't know if it is intended, that you are still able to shoot and reload but ok.

I agree, the shock effect seems as if it lasts longer than the burn effect. I really think it’s because when you’re on fire you still are able to move and get out of the line of fire. However, when you are shocked you can not move, and in a game where your health is easily diminished being held stationary is almost always equal to death. If they didn’t want to change the effect time maybe they could do a semi down shock state. This way you weren’t just standing still in an upright position. I would rather the time while shocked be reduced, but it’s an alternate suggestion.

I was hoping wtih shock it woudl stun you momentarily then slowly unlock you from status lock, so you can move while still being affected.

I agree that it lasts too long. Like korefuji said, it would be better if it momentarily stunned and then hindered movement (but still allowed you to move) so you're not a helpless pinata for the enemies; especially since we go down so easily now.

It's probably because you're low level and dont have a higher resistance towards it yet, you are right though, those stun baton enemies along with the elite turrets are a pain in the ***.

and from some npc the most annoying thing is you can shocked multiple times in a row. after one status effect you should have a immunity for about 10 seconds or whatever and / or a way to cleanse it.
