Turn off "User Account Control" in Windows 10 and see if you can start it.

I had the crash to desktop immediately and turning off UAC fixed it.

I tried a number of things in this thread. I'm tired of trying to fix it. It's not worth it. All this did was tell me that I am not buying the Division 2 - so thanks for that. If your code is so fragile that your user base has to stroke your game with feathers.... perhaps don't hastily release a beta. AAA devs are going down the tubes these days.

Hi everyone, i had this black screen problem as well (well in truth still have) but after trying everything on this thread and not working for me I ended up stumbling on something that worked. I noticed the only 2 times i could actually successfully play the game without getting a black screen and then quit to desktop, was to start running the game through Uplay's tab 'THE DIVISION 2 PRIVATE BETA' (scroll down and press play now button) rather than starting it on the 'GAMES' tab like i usually do/did or from desktop icon(shortcut). That seems to work for me. Hope that helps someone. If not, still something the devs might want to give a look at since it's hella weird. (:

Try turning off the overlay inside the settings of the Uplay client

I just launched the game, shows up in windowed mode, sound plays, but nothing displaying.. At least this is a beta and hopefully they fix it.

After trying a whole lot a things recommended for similar problem with original Division 1, finally disabling Uplay overlay fixed it for me. Weirdly enough Division 1 was fine but Division 2 was blackscreen with sound.

one more thing that helped me was to unplug my usb headset and set the sound to hd audio to my monitor.

Non of the suggestion here helped. Anything else ? Common guys, this is stupid, Occupationally frame drops, missing texture stuff like this is beta material not this, not for so many ppl with different setups. This is really killing the game for me.
