I only see a black screen when I launch the game | Forums

Hey guys, thanks for the reports. Can you please ensure that any background applications and processes are disabled such as apps with overlays (Steam/Discord), overclocking tools, RGB lighting software.

Every time I start the game it goes on a black screen , it shows nothing and I can't do anything and I must close the pc , because I can't get out of the game. I have tried to verify the files, I have restarted the pc and still nothing is happening.

I would recommend that you try to update your graphic drivers to the most recent version and try again.

i cant start the game i just get a black schreen (full screen) after that shortly a windowed black screen and then the game crashes. I dont hear any sound or something just a black screen and thats it.

Same issue as OP.
Also don't have MSI Afterburner.
Just tried deleting files and it made no change.
Incase relevant, I'm also forced into windowed mode and alt+enter to make fullscreen mode just crashes it.

Edit: Just deleted all the cfg files in the "Documents\My Games\Tom Clancy's The Division 2" folder and also saw that overlays can be the issue so make sure to toggle those off/on and test that too but I got mine working now!

I have the most up-to-date drivers for Nvidia, and I'm still having this issue. When I first launched the game, It worked, it had to download a patch. When the patch was done, it had to restart, and ever since, I've been dealing with a black screen that closes itself.
