It seems the Crusader cross emblems are missing on the new character along with all emblems unlocked through uplay.

Hey there! This is not a bug, as post-Year 1 DLC characters (started with the Wu Lin) do not receive Campaign-related rewards by design. Please see this Reddit post for details.
