Hello.
I've noticed that i receive fps drops while I move camera. The drop is pretty significant, from like 70 to 20-30, since I usually move camera all the time it is a pain. I am at low fps at high-end PC in a 17 years old game. Is there anything I can do about it, or are you going to do something about optimazation?

CPU: I5 2500k 3.8 Ghz
GPU: Radeon RX 470 4GB
RAM: 8 GB

I too am having significant issues with this, 30fps and under.
Also the config options seem extremely underwhelming in resolving it.

AMD 1800x CPU
Nvidia GTX 1080 GPU
8GB Ram

Ignore me, fixed it. thought it may be cos I have a 2k monitor, odd resolution and all that.
Under documents folder
TheSettlers4\Config
Edit GameSettings.cfg with your resolution
so for me WindowHeight = 1440 WindowWidth = 2560
Save, and fixed, no more horrible background flickering, bad fps, or aweful stutter when moving the camera.

Sure there is an easier way you are meant to use, but hey, it wasnt obvious enough (for me)

It's actually true, I've had some weird res like 1936x1096, while my monitor is classical 1920x1080. After changing my fps while scrolling increased from 20-30 to 50. Thanks!

Interesting, never had these issues myself and I never touched the config. But thanks for the heads-up, we'll take a look and suggest this to other players should they run into this problem
