    Robot Tank Dogs?

Does anyone else have an issue with this? The reason I liked the first one was because it felt like it was kind of realistic. The bosses were still people, just harder to take down. You had technicians that used remote control car bombs. A pain in the butt, but could see it really could be done. I quit playing COD because it was getting too far away from the realm of realism. I guess we'll see how these things play out, but starting to wonder how this thing is going to play out...

Robotic gun carriages are real things? https://www.wired.com/2008/06/us-military-get/
They are more real than seeker mines and those napalm carts from TD1

I'm a huge fan of realism in games. And I fully agree with you about CoD. But robot tank dogs are not unimagineable in the very near future, provided someone thought they were a good idea. Have you seen the robot mules that the USMC was testing? If the Marines can have robot mules, why can't the baddies have robot dogs? But overall, I'm totally in agreement with you.

    The robot dogs actually exist.
A few Youtube and google searches and you'll see them.

I'm glad to see a high-tech main faction.

About 2 years ago, police in Dallas TX killed a gunman who had barricaded himself using a bomb robot.

But you dont have a problem with DNA printed super viruses and NPC's taking 10 mags to kill?
I like abit of realism in games too but when you have ARPG mechanics in a game you need give abit of leeway, when enemies take over 100 bullets to kill and the damage that weapons do is based on magical stats, you need to have a broader suspension of disbelief.
Boston dynamics has proven to an extent that these things are a possibility, sure we havent seen any of them carry a mounted .50 cal machine guns but I've never seen drones that spew out micro bullets either.

Division is set in the near future, while still keeping its modern shooter asthetic. If the dogs are a problem, not sure how you got passed the seeker mines, especially when the robotic brief cases that follow you exist. Lol.

I don't have a problem with the virus because small pox is a real thing and it has killed people. I also don't have a problem with TTK because it is a video game. I didn't say the game was real, said it was realistic. You are fighting people. You are using real weapons and not laser beams. The skills are definitely far fetched, but again for a game of this type they work for me. Some of the new skills coming out look ridiculous as well. Several of you have linked videos showing robo dogs, so maybe it isn't out of the realm of possibility, but it just gives me more of a transformers vibe.

And now, we have robots that can open doors. Just like the Black Mirror episode.

Let me know when it can open a door, bring me a beer, and let me piss in it and take it to the toilet and flush it and costs under $200.
