Dear Toller, Buck,

During the last team war, my team ranked #2 with 3622 points (48 matches). The #1 team got 4189 points (46 matches).
When we looked at the #1 team, most of its members are in WOODEN shield league (10-30 and others in SILVER).

We find it very suspicious that they were able to win against teams in our bracket where almost all members are in LEGENDARY league (e.g., for my team 43/50 members are in L, 7 members in 40-50 Silver). I do not presume of their skill, but competing against level 4 epics when you are a beginner seems hard to believe.

Can you please investigate?
To avoid name dropping, I can send you via PM the name of their team and screenshots with their team members.

Teams in a bracket do not compete directly against one another. So all those wooden shield players would have been randomly matched against other wooden shield players.

However this is yet another way to manipulate the scoring of your team. Have a team full of players in bronze way too high level for their rank and their team is always gonna win in team wars.

Thanks, this is what I suspect as well.
In our case this looks like an "organized team deranking" worth investigating.
Obviously, devs also need to fix the scoring/matchmaking system to prevent that...
