So, as I said in the title, I have buy the Division 2 game, Ultimate Edition, and I got.. nothing else than a email saying i've buy it, thank you.. Well yeah, I know I bought it..
But nothing about beta (promised for the Ultimate Ed.)... No access code for this beta.. Nothing in the game library, nothing in downloads... No emails about the beta incoming (soon...).. Excuse me but this is... hum.. not really what was promised..
And I speak here about the beta, I know the game will come in march... When I spend like 100 $, i like to have a little more infos and not.. nothing.
this is from the epic store, hope it helps:
Pre-purchasing from the Epic Games Store and Private Beta access
Q: Will I receive access to The Division 2 Private Beta if I pre-purchase the game on the Epic Games store?
A: Yes! If you pre-purchase The Division 2 on the Epic Games store, you will receive an e-mail at a later date with instructions on how to join the Private Beta.
*Please note that a Ubisoft account is required to play Ubisoft games purchased on the Epic Games store.*
If you purchased the game digitally through any other store, other than Ubisoft Store, you should first make sure your PC key has been activated. Make sure you check your spam folder for any emails. If you do not see any email from Epic Games, you may need to call their Support team. They should be able to help you.Originally Posted by Lady_Of_Cha0s Go to original post

No i did not get a key, and yes, for sure, I've check my "spams folders" and etc.
I've buy the game at Epic store BECAUSE I seen the game will be sell at Epic in a partnership with Ubisoft.

And now, you say "If you purchased the game through another store than Ubisoft??" Where is the coordination?
Excuse me, but it is so complicate to give to people their key and all the needed for playing a game they have buy
or a minimum of information about what will be coming, in case of pre pourchase??
Why do we have to even ask this in a forum or calling the help center? Yes, i'm not really happy, I think
100 USD deserve a little more informations than just a bill.
Best regards
I'm going to do my very best to help you @Lady_Of-Cha0s!Originally Posted by Lady_Of_Cha0s Go to original post
This post was made by Epic Games Support only a few hours ago. Since you purchased the Ultimate Edition, you will receive access into the Private Beta. I can also confirm, that keys will be sent out soon! Please keep checking your emails. We will update the forums in News & Announcements once we have more information to share.

It seems like Epic doesn't know either how it's supposed to work. There is a Reddit thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/thedivision...e_beta_access/) where someone asked Epic Support and they said that Ubisoft will have to provide the Codes, my friend asked them aswell and they told him that it will just appear in the Epic Launcher Library, I asked them too but didn't got a reply for 3 days now. And the FAQ says we will get an email with a code (which not a single one of the Epic Supportagents said).Originally Posted by UbiSc0ttie Go to original post
I don't get it, this should be clear as day by now, instead we get multible different statements that contradict each other and both sides tell us "ask the other side". There never was such an Issue with Steam. You preordered, the game showed up in your Library (that is another thing, the game doesn't show up in the Epic Launcher library) and a few days before the preload started the Beta showed up in the steam library waiting for the preload day to come.
With Epic? A few hours until the preload starts and it's still not clear how it will work exactly.
And to add to this, how is it going to work with the friend invites? Also unclear. Will we get a code, will we be able to link our accounts (which we still can't do btw.), or something completly different?
I just don't get it. This should be clear as day by now, instead it's the opposite. Questions over Questions, noone is able to give a definitife answear and we get told "ask epic/ask ubisoft" instead.
I had the same issue and after 24 hours of waiting on a solution from Epic games (beta already released) I just went and purchased on UPlay. I then requested a refund and they then offered me a beta key. I declined and again requested a refund, didn't get it for another 24 hours or so. I eventually emailed their billing department and explained that if I did not receive a refund soon I would process a claim through paypals buyer protection program. I then received a refund. I don't think they would have denied me a refund I just think that their tech support staff is either understaffed or just sucks in general. Regardless due to this terrible 1st time experience with Epic, it will be my last time.
Other thoughts;
Apparently Epic games charges about 12% for the games on their platform while Steam is around 30%. I think the remainder of the costs still go to the developers so the game may still cost the same to the consumer. I wouldn't be surprised if Epic still makes the same margins in the end though due to their lack of support and crappy application (basically their platform appears to just be a web page). I would assume their overhead costs are MUCH less than steam. So if they are only charging 12% I doubt it is for "the greater good" of the industry and more or less it is only 12% because they are a much smaller outfit with less to offer. In the near future I'm sure that rate will change with their overhead. Regardless I'm going to stick with Steam and if I have an issue I normally get a response in 5 minutes, not 5 hours.....
