i had an idea for a new factions, then while thinking of writing this had another idea.
the first idea was based off of the middle America continents clans who ruled the jungles. Mainly Aztec. the Jaguar warrior as the heavy or vanguard, and the Eagle Warrior as an assassin.
As for the other, the Middle East of full of ancient warring peoples to pull inspiration from, including the legendary Immortals of Persia.Other then the Immortals, i dont know the names of any other Middle Eastern units. Well, i know of 1 other unit, but For Honor isnt a game based on Cavalry, but foot soldiers. the Cataphracts wouldnt really work. well, there is the hasassins, they would make a perfect assassin since thats what they were. probably spelt the assassin's title wrong... ooops.
i would like to point out that i dont expect these this year, or even next yearkinda just hope someone on the dev team, or the mods for the forums sees these ideas and passes them on.
I would prefer they add both the Wu Lin and Blackstone/Wolves to the faction war before adding new factions, not that I'm against new factions. Correct me where I'm wrong, at least with Blackstone, you could have characters from a mixture of backgrounds since the faction is supposed to be a gathering of wolves. This would allow Ubisoft to create one character from another part of the world with a great deal of care instead of rushing an entire faction that may not be well received, not that all new diverse heroes have to be apart of the Blackstone faction. They could always expand that character's background to an entire faction if the community demands it. That would be the safer approach. The Wu Lin's reception overall was mixed and I think that came from releasing four heroes simultaneously.
I think releasing one hero from a different background at a time would be best since that character would get all the attention he/she needs and the community wouldn't have to wait as long for For Honor's diversity to increase.
You can unlock all of the characters with in game currency and it really doesn't take that long if you play the game regularly.Originally Posted by Gemoroda Go to original post
One idea would be to split the Centurion and Gladiator into a new "Roman" faction. That way, we only need 3 new heroes added: One to the Knights (now with the BP, that would mean they still have 6 heroes like most other factions) and 2 more Romans to make them 4.
Centurions and Gladiators have literally nothing to do with Knights, this bugs me for a while now. That would be a solution.
