Probably going to quit this game soon

So I've been what you'd probably call a hardcore f2p since I started playing the game back in June of last year. I would dedicate 4-5 hours every single day, not missing one day of opening all 30 lockers, and I've completed every event. I've managed to get two lvl 3 Legendaries, with several more one or two copies away, and I've managed to crack the top 2000 in Legendary arena, all while not spending one cent. Yeah, I was hardcore f2p... until I had a bit of an epiphany last week. I realised all the fun and enjoyment I used to get out of this game has slowly been being replaced by frustration and apathy. Why does this game still have so many aggravating bugs? Why do all the great suggestions made by myself and others on here on how to improve the game constantly get ignored? I love South Park and I used to love this game, but I'm so over it now. As of last week, I'm now a casual f2p, only playing the minimum to open PVP packs and finish events. I figure that's the first step in slowly weaning myself into eventually quitting the game. This game used to be so good and had so much potential, but now it's just stale. It's a damn shame.

I feel similar right now, last 2 days worked back to 11500 ELO, find im at 11200 while doing this event, get done by a glitch, then drew because of ANOTHER bug (zero damage bug) then a load of losses, due to rubbish hands against marvin 6 players, and match after match of uncounterable Marcus 4'S, then when I win? have to use cash for event items, only to end up sub 10K completing the event because once again end up matched with 9600-9900 players with faceroll awesomo 4 and BHK 4...... or sexy nun 4's... pope 4's... the same stuff I expect and did see at 12k+ its getting rather tiresome losing masses of ELO in this manner, because as a result I have gone from 5000's to 8001... which is a different reward pack.. honestly gets frustrating and 1 loss to me felt like a joke due to the level of the cards I lost to.

Yeah. As f2p, I always get a little excited about moving up in this game. During this season, I made it below 1000 in legendary, come to find out, it's mainly because deranking p2p people were up in the 10,000s feasting on newbies like beta males to finish events faster and get their pvp packs quickly. Now it's towards the end of the season and I'm facing p2p derankers, with multiple level 5 legendaries who have no strategy but murder me none the less, moving their way back up for rank packs. At least I get a bar from them, kinda like a f you before I die. I basically took 2 steps forward, 10 steps back. Smh. This game doesn't seem to have a future unless it goes in a direction of strategy and dedication besides just buying your way. I guess I'm a socialist. Thanks allot Obama!
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm just gonna play kingdom hearts 3

oh look make progress, and instantly wiped out by direct damage spamming loser and again players either using a full load of epics at 4 (faceroll BHK sexy nun etc, who have no place at all there) or full level 6 rares.. it is really time RL got a hold of this game and started dealing with the community, because toxic community, makes toxic game and people quit.

I agree with your last statement of dealing with the community because they lose valuable feedback from people who are willing to give that feedback to begin with, just because they feel their effort is being ignored (I've been there and so is referenced by jr0mer0). I have to know however that many people who have high leveled rares and epics at 4 have been playing for a good while and that's the reason why they have those levels (they could of course also be just p2w users who pick on weaker decks). So what matters is where do you find these people, if they are low legendary then yea they are just de rankers who don't really want to play the game but do it out of addiction because they don't have fun anymore, or my already referenced p2w users who pick on the weak, so your problem is not with people having high levels but with the matchmaking algorithm matching you with lower ranked people but who have what could be considered overpowered levels (RL tried to deal with this very unsuccessfully with simply dividing people into two groups, the ones below level 20 amd and above this threshold).

Jr0mer0 as reference I can tell you that I've been 'casual f2p' (I play the same as you but I think it's more than I should ) since the big balance update where many folks quitted the game. My love for South park and being leader didn't allow me to quit the game, but what did change is my best will (I still have good will because I naively provide feedback that may never be taken seriously due the very slanted view the game developers when it comes to following the fremium formula as it was planned from the beginning without making bold changes to it considering the feedback they receive. It's true that they can't possibly implement all of the features we have asked here, but none is a little bit too minimalistic from them. They really can't easily deal with all of their bugs and all stays in the pending work pile because they claim they had to rewrite a lot of code due the client side. So from that perspective, I get it, but, there are things that shouldn't be hard to implement, and RL has failed showing that all of the feedback they receive is of any value to them (stating it's very valuable is not the way to do it, only with real actions). To be fair, they did try to fix DKC, I haven't been brave enough to put him back and since I stopped working with him a long time time ago due the bugs, his level would be considered too weak where I stand.

I just wanted to share with you my own experience when it comes to starting to be a casual f2p . I often suggest people to not over spend or spend in the game at all until developers have more appreciation of with their community and their free to play users who were pretty much thrown into the abyss and they even dig the hole deeper with their token events algorithm because they really seem to lack the notion of casual f2p players. If you like good fremium card games try clash royale, or mtg arena, they are in beta but imo they have done an astonishing work with that game . Good luck buddy.

Thanks, buddy. I'm not done quite yet, I'm still on the proverbial "bubble", because as a guy who's dedicated so much time to this game, its hard to justify just not playing anymore at all. Although I haven't spent a dime on this game, I feel like all the time I've spent counts for something. If time is money, then in a way I'm not really f2p at all because I've spent so damn much on this game in terms of time invested. I will admit, I do tend to get addicted to games, but making the decision to play more casually and not pushing myself to grind all 30 lockers every day is a good thing for me, because it was honestly interfering with my personal life. The fact that I've started to spend more time cursing at my screen than actually having fun reinforced my decision.

To the guy frustrated with having to face all those lvl 4 Epics, honestly, like Void Away implied, it's now pretty much standard of what you'll be facing and what you need to have in your deck in order to compete in mid-Legendary. Lvl 3 Epics and lvl 2 Legendaries really just don't cut it anymore. I agree it sucks and is just plain damn unfair to lose against overpowered decks that are way under you costing hundreds of precious Elo. On the other hand, matchmaking is still highly suspect. I faced off against and was soundly beaten by someone with several lvl 5 Legendaries the other day (I was somewhere between 12k-13k Elo). I didn't notice what rank he was at, but I only lost 1 Elo. That's right, just 1 Elo. In a loss. How is that even possible? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I didn't lose a ton of Elo, but if I just lost one point, that guy must have been ranked several thousands of points higher than me. Why in the world would I be matched against someone like that?

Anyhow, I'm still hanging on for now. Only time will tell if I completely quit the game, but if I'm to stay, they need to make some positive changes and soon. Really wish RL would stop focusing on doling out new cards for a while, but instead dedicate their time on fixing their sh!t and improving the core game experience. Maybe take some good suggestions from the community and actually implement some of them for a change.

and once again very near the end of the season.

Sub 11k elo deck with a 6 dougie and level 3 legendary mystic/sci fi level 4 epics

sub 11k ELO **** deck wth 3 legendary

sub 11k Elo deck with THREE level 4 legendaries and level 6 rares mystic player

none of these decks should be sub 11k elo, how about RL actually do something about this? some of us invest time, and earn our cards, and want to see some progress for it, not spend most of the season at a rank, only to never finish at that rank because of derankers.

This game will continue to die a slow death until deranking is dealt with. Make a system that rewards players for keeping a high rank. Ban players that obviously are playing at a lower rank than their deck indicates. Actually do something with in game reports instead of the generic BS canned response. Make a weighted system that assigns a value to each card and matches players that way. I don't really care at this point as long as something is done.

    F is for Phone Destroyer

Yeah. This game has turned to a **** show. With all the nurfing and buffing they have destroyed the game dynamic. Dougies are way too op now and green decks have been turned into **** with all the b.s. Why not just reset all the game stats to how they were in the beginning so that the decks are actually fair.
