Map / indicators for remaining content

According to the game, I am 85% done and the only main story mission left is to meet with the father which I assume is probably the end game (don't spoil it even though I know the ending). My question is there any way to find side items? For instance, several of them you select but nothing gets selected on the map nor gives a distance. I have 3 I remember, but only remember specifically the one looking for the shrines. I am 12 of 14. I found several of those by zooming in on the map, and scrolling up and down all the way across the map. Now, I have done that 3 times and can't find the remaining ones. Is there a way to make it show these side quests?

    Is there a way to:

Have the radio turned off by default in every vehicle?
Disable the chatter by your guns for hire?
Keep Hurk from constantly blowing everyone up? He occasionally kills the enemy and is good for air craft, but I swear he kills me, himself, or the other gun for higher more than enemies.

    Suggestions:
Some vehicles they give great instructions on how to honk the horn, but not important things like change weapons, etc. Do choppers even have horns?
Better instruction on chain take downs. I am only just now (at 85% done) able to fairly consistently do a chain take down. That prompt is way too quick. Perhaps it should show if there are two enemies in field of view as you approach to do a take down.
Counters towards progress of achievements. Sometimes I don't know if I am doing it right so I keep at it until it pops. Like the fishing one to get that special rod. If not for a great site that listed them out, I don't know if I would have succeeded in that one.

This is a problem of many games! Bad instructions, poor teaching. How many times it happens to you........you are playing.....playing a game.....and only much later find out that your character could do this or that. Many opportunities of gameplay have been lost. It often happens that developers are not bother about teaching gamers. "They are not children, will learn themselves" But many gamers play their game first time and not so experienced. Developers should teach a gamer and reveal all secrets of their gameplay - it will allow gamers to enjoy the gameplay - to enjoy the game. Developers, don't you feel bad.....you have worked, you've put a lot work into it, and it will pass innoticed?! Having learned all the techniques and features of the gameplay gamer will fully enjoy the game. Teach more thoroughly! Train gamers! Let them train somewhere. May be even some training camp. Or military training camp.
