how to Free look, is that even possible in PC

    Hi guys.

I'm 40. I spend much time in work, yet in 2 years i kinda made nice progress ingame.
Almost havent been playing The Division for 2 months.

I've always accepted the idea that no matter how much you practise, theres no way for me to play better then a gamer kid.
So sometimes watching the streams is much more entertaining.

I want to complete the Survival Shield but i have problem with that.
I want to rotate the camera (check for loots) while im running in fixed direction, but i cant.
To look left/right i have to change my characters direction and it slows down the whole game.

But i assume PS4 and Xbox controllers let the players do so.

Is this available to do in PC?

    Thanks guys.

If you drink water the loot glows so you can see it much better as you are coming up on it.. That might help from having to look left or right..
    Water last longer also..

If you perform a roll while running, you can momentarily (~half a second) move the camera.
Good for checking for players behind you without stopping to look.

I guess the answer is NO.

But those written are the alternatives.

As i know stick controllers also are avalable for PC usage and yet its possible to rotate the screen while running a fixed direction.

This is simply not fair to a PC keyboard/mouse user to be restricted that way.

The closest I come to running and looking to the side is keep pressing forward and also using the opposite key to move left or right..

For instance,If I am running forward and want to look right..I keep pressing forward plus the A key while turning my mouse to the right..
I use WASD keys rather than arrow keys..

If it were arrows keys it would be pressing up and left arrows at the same time, while turning my mouse slightly to the right to see to my right.. it's kind of like strafing forward, but you can do it in a full run..
it's that or you can just hold the left key while looking right if you just want to push one key at a time..

I have one of my mouse side buttons to keep forward on so I don't have to keep holding the w key down..then it's just shift button to switch from jog to run..

I do the same, while running, if I want to look left I'll keep pressing the W button plus I'll press the D button, look right, press the A button.

Do you find the limited camera movement adds to or detracts from your enjoyment of the game? Do you find the restricted view to be immersive or more annoying and hindering to the momment-to-moment gameplay?

    I'm 40.
Is that your age or level?

....and zero chance I'll buy the Division 2
This is a bad decision. I played Division 2 in April - May and I can say it is also a good beautiful game 😊
