You know, ever since that Den where the official tier list was shown on stream, the amount of Berzerkers and Wardens I've fought is off the charts. It may or may not coincide with any sort of personal jump in skill, but at least 1 in 3 opponents is either of those two. Shaolin takes the third place for most common pick. Conquerors are rare, PK is extinct.
Nothing is worse than playing against a Warden that really wants to win. I don't even know why Setmyx has him one position lower than Conq.
While it is labeled "setmyx's tier list" it's a conglomeration effort from what are considered to be high-top tier players. Only stating this so people don't think it might be one person's bias or whatevs.Originally Posted by EvoX. Go to original post
Anyway, The tier list details says that conq has both strong offense and defense with low damage being his negative. Where as for warden it says he's got strong pressure and a roll catch tool but his bash based offense struggles against others due to it being charged based.
Speaking from what I know of Warden I can easily see him being placed below conq just because there are a handful of heros that can absolutely shut out his offense entirely or severely limit it. Where as conq doesn't really have that kind of problem. It's also worth noting that a LOT of the decision making for placements rest on match up data. You can probably find the numbers if you searched it up. But last time I checked conq only has 1 some what bad match up (highlander) and then 2 maybe 3 unfavorable match ups. Warden has more bad match ups/unfavorable ones. Heck you can ask the people over at the comp subreddit about zerks placement and they'll straight up say a big portion of the reason why he's been sitting as the best duelist is because he has zero bad match ups and zero unfavorable ones.
Apparently my doubt was justified, Warden is better than Conq - the updated tier list just came out. I knew it, his optimal game is so much better/more difficult to play against.Originally Posted by Knight_Raime Go to original post
