Far cry new dawn could benefit from some tweaking.
Think of it as a 3rd watchdogs title in London where a black clad player wears a full face mask hat wig and gloves due to injuries and disfigurement and is armed with hand held/throwing weapons like tomahawks, knives, sais and is a combination in terms of skill of the characters from assassins creed 2-syndicate with an upper class accent and balletic fighting ability seeking to overthrow a corporation controlling an increasingly fascist regime. Look for comic book writers like frank miller Alan Moore and Garth Ennis, actors like Hugo Weaving, Emily Blunt Frank Grillo and directors like Zack Snyder, Denis Villeneuve who can make this an intelligent chillingly plausible realistic campaign that will require the player to plan adapt and perform reconnaissance and strike like lightning rather rushing in blindly.
Players won’t need to upgrade gear as the world will be brimming with everyday items from hardware and department stores that can be launched and thrown like hammers nail guns saw blades croquet mallets with short handles bowling pins rounders bats and lawnmower blades making enemies firearms useless. As revolution spreads up to 4 players can join in liberating the country ghost recon wildlands style and the pigeon or herring gull can be both a useful aerial reconnaissance expert with a fondness for natural laxatives distracting and blinding enemies when dropped from above going for the eyes with their talons and beaks.
The dreaded puff adder will have grown to monstrous sizes and be a loyal pet that can keep track of enemies from the ground and unleash quick strikes incapacitating enemies with quick venomous strikes.
Even the humble ferret will be on hand to quickly climb up unsuspecting enemies trouser legs to deliver deadly bites to the family jewels.

Fallout kind of set the standard for what a post-apocalyptic game should look like.

I guess New Dawn will either be better or worse than Fallout in comparison.

While the crafting sounds like a great idea I hate when you have to wear enemies down in a game whereas when it comes to stealth and survival you should be encouraged to take them down using as quickly and easily as possible with as few hits as necessary

I don't guess I know - New Dawn will be definetely better than Fallout76! Speaking seriously, I'm sure best postapocalyptic games only ahead. Everyone has its own ideal postapocalypse game in his mind. As every fan of Far Cry has its own ideal Far Cry in his dream.

i would rather be able to choose the items to put on my guns instead of having to craft the guns with items i do not want already put on them i do not like to put scope on a pistol or screw drivers on my asalt rifle

I don't like scopes on the pistols also. As far as I know pistols' firing range is something about 50 meters. It doesn't need scope. This is the most powerful pistol - Thunder 50 BMG. 75 meters. In the future games won't be bad!

You won't be shooting anyone for 5 minutes. You just get better gear

Such pistols will be good against armed enemies and big predators! Moreover, most of the people who play Far Cry didn't touch a gun in their life - let them feel it. Weapons should be more and more developed - more and more closer to real. Visual appearance, sound, recoil.....Every situation demands its weapon! Taurus Raging Bull also good.

Far cry 5 was to some degree serious. Now it's time for some fun. Let your hair down and let's get high.
