    Don't do this Ubisoft.

Do not turn your franchises into RPGs.
Shooting biker gang members in the face with a shotgun for 5mins isn't fun.
I get that this is a spinoff game, but please don't make Far Cry 6 an RPG.
The last thing we need is an Open World RPG Splinter Cell game with xp boosts and helicopter skins.

RPG doesn't mean bad! Far Cry as RPG doesn't mean that the game will be worse. Let them try! Millions adore RPG games......must be something in it. Let developers take that "something" and try it in Far Cry universe. Developers, don't be afraid to experiment! Otherwise we will play Far Cry 3 in different variations for the rest of our lives.

The lean into RPG elements may've worked out for them with AC (a series far more suited to it), but I'm with you, I don't like what they're doing with the enemy level / weapon tiers. The number one reason I disliked the Division was because it'd take 2 clips to bring down some bozo in a sweatshirt, now FC:ND is doing the same thing. One of the biggest grievances I had with Far Cry 2 was that the enemies were a bit on the bullet spongey side, but they don't seem half as bad as what I'm seeing in some of this New Dawn footage.

All I can do now is hope that that stupid system will be exclusive to this spin-off title and that FC6 will restore the game's TTK to tolerable levels. Even a small caliber weapon like a 9mm is going to kill someone when you shoot them in the head, thats how it should be. The closer we get to launch & the more I find out about this game, the more likely it's becoming that I skip it entirely, which would be the first FC game I've not played (exceptin' the Wii and arcade games.) Couple games come out same day I might get one of those instead & there are more not long after... If I felt feelings I might be sad, haha...

exactly as you say. even I can not wait to play this game. when I saw early letsplays so everything that I like is there. talents, weapons, environment, home base, and things. there will be again prepper stashes which I enjoyed at Far Cry 5. 4 levels of weapons will be and even the liquidation talents still at a higher level.

    I don't want another Division

I really resented having to drill into vets and elites in The Division which started to feel like Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode in Borderlands 2 in which taking down a single opponent was like carving through a glacier with an ice pick. That got boring really fast.

I remember my entire Division crew were kitted up with snipers and LMGs, as anything less didn't seem to dent our opponents. After I got pounded by one too many sprinting shield-guys, I quit and uninstalled Division and never looked back. (Note IRL police shields that stop rifle bullets have to be wheeled around, as they're too heavy to carry). Between that and the shooting-Americans-because-the-game-flagged-them-for-shooting, it was too much. Clancy must be spinning in his grave.

If that's the direction that Far Cry is going, I'll be sorely disappointed.

I had been avoiding info reference New Dawn but looked over some stuff today, one huge concern is that some animals can't be killed unless your gun is at a set level or color code - I don't mind spending some time emptying magazines into animals while on the run so maybe I can handle doing things to level up weapons I will have to see I guess.

One thing I don't like are the stupid numbers flying off enemies it just looks awful and the health bar on enemies is quite large too - I remember playing Gunscape by Blowfish Studios and they had numbers / hit points on their enemies we said it was **** could they please remove it so there was an option to keep or remove - I hope Ubisoft give us a modifier to turn this off for those who might not like it on screen.

Expeditions sounds great I love the look of the game, COOP in FC5 I played twice it had a naff system as did coop in Arcade where you had to invite someone where Far Cry 4 allowed you to join randoms or have them join your game or invite friends so hoping we have the same options with New Dawn - also the length for players to be apart from one another in coop with Far Cry 5 was pretty bad especially compared to Wildlands so hoping that distance has been upped, any info on that ?

I mean, that is kind of crazy.

I did see an article where the creative director said there was an option to turn off the bars and/or numbers. So here's to hoping that is correct.

Yes I agree those bars are over the top and some love to turn the HUD and all displays off so hoping that is possible.
Reading further into things it appears the Expeditions are different themes from the main campaign so this sounds awesome like the DLC in FC5 (different locations) and I can get some serious loot doing them on the hardest difficulty so thinking I will be ok with the color coded weapon thing I will smash the **** out of Expeditions to get the weapons I need

In defense of Borderlands which was a way more superior game to this tripe, it was much more challenging and you had to do many side quests before even progressing one main mission level. In Far Cry 5 half the side missions were missed due to the capture scenes. What an absolute load of trash you talking.
