    Soooo.... FC New Dawn

Have you guys seen all of the new previews and gameplay from FC New Dawn? Lets start a discussion, share your thoughts.

Personally I am a fan of the aesthetic with vivid colors, as long as it doesn't become the norm for the series.

I love the changes done to the outpost system and I'm wondering what took them so long to add the capture 3x system.

I like the characters and villains, these new ones seem to be straight up bad b*tches that are not afraid to kill people. John Seed and Pagan never gave me a reason to worry much. They seemed tooooo friendly.

I like the new zones you can visit. Seem like custom maps with a much bigger play space, seems like 2x the size.

    No MP or Editor sucks!

I do not like the fact that this, for the time being, doesn't affect FC5. I was hoping they went the Halo 3: ODST route and added FC5's arcade to FC: New Dawn. With all the assets included and cross play between the 2 games. Also adding New Dawn assets to both games and finally also including new game modes and better scripting. Allowing users in pvp to define how users earn points to win the match whether it be by placing an object in a zone, standing in a zone, killing a specific player in the lobby, breaking a certain object etc...

    Thanks for reading!

I would personally like to see a consistent map-editor where assets and more game mechanics are simply added to it as every new Far Cry game comes out. The next gen consoles will be able to handle more than any current PC can for the same price.

I would rather get everything we currently have in a new editor with the New Dawn assets and whatever the next theme for Far Cry 6 is, that way they have plenty of time to get all this stuff tested and working pre release.

There are still too many issues with Arcade the biggest for solo and coop maps is the low number of enemies on screen at any one time, max in wave one is 24 with Far Cry 4 we could trigger all waves and have approx 60 of more on screen at the same time.

    The lack of multiplayer modes
    Only 12 players in multiplayer
The Multiplayer joining system is a mess, I imagine Arcade Hero can't be removed from the menu as it's tied to achievements / trophies so anyone joining that generally gets broken unfinished starter maps and double XP which is useless ranking up to 500 gives no reward.

Standard joining PvP uses the vote for map that almost destroyed Arcade at the Start they tried something different and it wasn't well received so glad they included a lobby browser as an update.

Lobby Browser needs improvements, we need a way to swap teams in the lobby if you want to be on a different side (Far Cry Instincts games Far cry 2 and Far Cry 4 had this) also a way to end the match early and return to lobby. It would be nice to be able to create a playlist of up to 10 maps or allow our favorites to be bigger I believe we could have over 100 maps in Fav's with FC4.

The budget is still an issue with FC5 on Consoles and those validation errors are a real pain (clipping errors) I think there are too many destructible items in the game (don't get me wrong they are a good thing) but with fences its nice to have both so would love to be able to turn on or off destructible / dynamic / static in the next game.

With Next Gen Consoles the current budget would not be a problem but right now we have some items in arcade that are so costly you can max out a budget square by selecting some shelves 3 times some items are so over the top with budget, they would have been better giving us static non destructible versions as they are almost too expensive on budget to use.
Hoping the next game will be 16 players online and up to 4 player coop with A.I. play together or versus in coop.

A.I. Enemies and Animals in multiplayer should take a point off any player / team when someone dies and if you commit suicide you or the team lose a point every time.
Generic Shapes are amazing but we need some more shapes such as archways and some thinner walls or platforms, half the thickness.

New Dawn's map size sounds awesome and it has lots more enemies on screen so hoping there is to be an Arcade 2 in the works or a new editor with Far Cry 6
Would love to see a stand alone thing evolving and getting new content from other Ubi games, maybe throw in a lot of cosmetics that won't affect peoples play if they don't want to buy them but for those who do they can express themselves with loads of different skins for weapons or vehicles and have a lot more for characters in way of customization, The hair was a disappointment as were T-shirts / Shoes and some other stuff Wildlands was better for customization I would like individual ammo belts, flak jackets, backpacks - more hats and stuff they could make it so much better.

Also hoping we get the option to spawn in Generic Shapes so they are static rather than spawning in Dynamic and falling so scripting in PvP could be great.

Personally, I am not going to buy the game. FC5 storytelling and ending was horrible.

Oh I won't be buying it either. My reason for that is the amount of pink in it. I hate pink and endeavour to destroy every remnant of it from society.

If Ubi could bring out the map editor with game modes kind of like it is - single and coop player modes and MP modes where we can make out own modes too - loads of generic stuff so we can make our own games, level-linking, much more scripting and all the assets from every Ubi game so far plus patches with assets from every future Ubi game, then sell the map-editor as a separate game.

The reason for this is so that someone at the helm of this project don;t have to share their focus with making a campaign or anything else. We need some of Ubi's resources 100% focused on making a credible level-editor OR "GAME-EDITOR" giving way more dev tools to players.

Call it GAME ONE or something. It would just have WINNER written all over it.
