Clear my line of fire, please.

I'm getting really fed up with my AI teammates walking, crawling, or coming to a standstill right in front of me when I'm doing binocular recon or, even worse, when I'm aiming down scope. I was just doing the Quinoa Factory mission, I'm prone, I snipe a hostile, I'm waiting for another hostile to come around the corner so I can take him down just as he sees his dead buddy and does that "oh sh!t" pose, and freaking Weaver crawls right in front of me at the crucial moment, blocking my shot and giving the SB thug enough time to see the body and raise the alarm.

The only way I know of to prevent this is to constantly tell them to "go there" or "hold position," but that's too annoying to do all the time especially since I shouldn't have to tell a seasoned soldier that when I'm aiming at an enemy you shouldn't put your butt between him and the bullet with his name on it.

There needs to be some sort of repelling effect so that when I'm aiming my weapon or using the binoculars, my teammates automatically move away from me. Or, maybe the just stand still. Or they can move anywhere they want, just not between me and whatever I'm pointing at.

That sounds sensible. IRL you'd expect your team to stay out of your arc of fire out of general awareness so it is fair to expect an AI team to do the same.

Even if you solo it, the characters you need to escort will get into your way. I almost killed Caveira because she kept stepping in front of my muzzle.

This exists to a degree in the game.
The moment you aim your weapon, your teammates crouch down or move away when in LOS. Don't know why it's so iffy.

Oh yes, I absolutely agree. I’ve had that happen a few times. Sometimes, telling them to go to a specific spot or telling them to hold works. Other times, when enemies are around, those commands don’t really work. For some reason they still move around and leave the building I specifically told them to stay in. This happens even when there is no alert or alarm raised. That’s when they get in the way or somehow come from the opposite side of the compound. The AI team sucks. Only really good for sync shots and rampaging

The AI is almost useless. We need the old Rainbow 6 style.

GRAW was by far the worst at doing what the OP mentioned and I don't really recall if FS did it as well but I have to say, as of late, this is one of the most annoying things I have seen my teammates do, perhaps the last update? perhaps the last few updates? And there is no excuse here because more times than I can count, we start from the rally point, I drive or fly to the objective and I don't give them any type of orders and this happens, and it happens at the worse times to boot, an enemy coming around the corner that I did not see while doing recon, and one of the Flower Pots gets ahead of me, I can't shoot but the thug sure can and I am dropped like a sack of potatoes... UGH!!!

But of course this will go like a fart in church because it is not detrimental to the game nor it makes any money for them to fix it so all it will do is give us a chance to revisit this again and again later on.

I’m assuming team AI wasn’t really a big focus for this game. I assume that based on a few major points. We were not able to customize them cosmetically from the start, STILL not being able to choose their weapons, lack of action commands, ROE commands, them not being able to drive, and not being able to command each member individually or at least into two separate teams. I think they just figured everyone would play the game co-op. All those problems I mentioned would be solved through co-op. I don’t know anything about making a game, but it seems like these are all possibilities if time is taken to work on it. I highly doubt they’ll do that now. I hope they expand and improve team AI on the next game in the series.
