Hi guys.
I am generally against pre-ordering a product unless you know there is nothing that can make you regret your purchase.
Generally, almost every product can disappoint, but sometimes you see or hear or experience enough of it to make you feel that there will be nothing that can disappoint you enough in the product to make you regret buying and then, and then only, you should pre-order.
I am not on that state with the division 2 since i liked the division 1, but wasn't a HUGE fan of it. It was fun but not enough for a solo player like myself.
The division 2 seems to change things in a way that I like and I really want to feel the game for myself by playing the closed beta.... which requires that I pre-order the game.
Is it possible to pre-order the game, play the beta, and if I am not a fan of what I played - Cancel the pre-order? and if it is - how do I do that?
(I never canceled a pre-order before, Not to mention I only pre-ordered a game a couple of times and done so after I was certain im going to like the game for sure... so i never wanted to cancel anyway).
I do it through gamestop mostly because I find it easier. you go to the counter tell them you want to pre-order. they usually ask for 5 dollars down, 25 if over $100. They will usually highlight the beta code on the receipt, just make sure you hold on to it., If you dislike the beta you go back and tell them you want to cancel the pre-order. I think they give you store credit, but I usually pre-order something else or buy something anyway so no big deal to me. If you have a rewards membership they keep you in the system so it is even faster, plus the trade-in bonus is good for people who fly through games and don't feel like trying to sell it on their own.
Digital is annoying to me, and to cancel you need to call customer support from whatever company you got it from. Plus you can't sell it if you end up buying but hating.
Yeah my understanding was that private beta was for pre orders and special promotions and the closed beta (these are the terms/names used by ubisoft) would be for those who registered for it on the website.Originally Posted by Bambihunter1971 Go to original post
But the term closed beta seems to have disappeared and the sign up is gonna be used to fill the places left after pre orders and promotions.
Correct. Anyone is able to register to play the beta, without preordering TD2.Originally Posted by Bambihunter1971 Go to original post

Ok you just proved my point.Originally Posted by UbiSc0ttie Go to original post
The term "closed" beta has disappeared.
The link above takes you to a page about accessing the "private" beta.
And the sign up on the website is now under the "private" beta with no mention of a "closed" beta!
So where exactly is the right information in regards to the "closed" beta?
