I have not played this game for a while but when I tried to load up the game it took a long time before giving me a little error message saying that Easy Anti Cheat was not found. I went into the game folder and uninstalled Easy Anti Cheat and reinstalled it. That didn't work. I tried running it as an administrator. Didn't work. I verified the files multiple times. Still nothing. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the whole game. Just a waste of time. Is there anything someone else knows that I don't for fixing this issue?
Hi FluffySharks! Have you tried this FAQ for EAC errors in GRW?
when you delete easy anti cheat make sure there isn't file/folder left behind in this locationsOriginally Posted by FluffySharks Go to original post
C:\Pprogram files (x86)
C:\Users\(Name)\App data\Roaming (name is your name or computer name)
also where you install the game \Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands
after that try to run CCleaner and do a registry clean up (it is safe)
also are you running any anti-virus? the game folder or these files may have ended up in its quarantine for some reason. - check that.
"Verify Files"
After going thru all this now it installs "Direct X", VC and anti cheat. again when launching the game. This seems to fix the problem for me so I hope it helps you and others.
Hey FluffySharks,
Could you set up a case on our support site and set up a case.
Once you have, can you please upload copies of your DXDiag and MSInfo to your case, and let us know the case number and we can look deeper into this.
If I run the GRW executable in the ghost recon folder it works. If I run it through Uplay it will not work.
As advised, can you please set up a case through our support site and upload copies of your DXDiag and MSInfo files, we will be able to look into this to see what is causing this issue.
If I did this correctly I should have emailed the Dxdaig and Msinfo files to Ubisoft Support.
@FluffySharks I do not see a ticket under this account. Can you provide your support ticket number? You should have gotten a confirmation email with your ticket number listed.
