Will there be a public development API?

I'm a developer and absolutely loved The Division 1, but always felt as though it could have used some kind of companion app. I realize that one was in development but ultimately never released, and am curious to know if there are plans for a companion app for The Division 2 or if there are plans to have a public API that developers can use to make third-party applications to manage equipment and such.

    Thanks

Hey @TheArchitects , and welcome to the Forums!

I'm actually not sure on this, however I can check for you.
I, or any of my colleagues, will get back with you soon.

I doubt they will let 3rd parties modify anything in game via an API.

Thanks for replying to this question Scottie. I've doing the vendor resets on my personal website for more than two years with the help of plenty of volunteers but having an API for this at least would be a really welcome addition. If there's more to do with it, the better. But if you could pass along that an API with limited functionality would be better than not having anything.

    Thanks again.

I agree with ruben, a vendor API would be a very welcome addition. Being able to check vendors and/or your gear from outside of the game would be a large quality of life upgrade.

Hey Scottie, quoting you to ask if you had the time to check if there are plans to have an API since your last reply was 3 weeks ago.

Read-only access to vendor items would be a huge help. Anything else the API exposes would allow the community to do more interesting or helpful stuff as well.

    Thanks.

    I second this.
A public API would do so much for this community.
    Vendor info,
    stats info,
    discord bots,
    etc.
