Perhaps it's a sign that Ubi and Massive is letting D1 die (which is a shame), but what's with all the Asian spam bots? A simple experiment in chat confirms suspicion >> typing ANYTHING in the LZ results in a spam barrage from Asian 'account services'. I tested this by typing, 'so', in several different zone chats, and each zone produced the same results, a spam wall of Asian crap.
The Division is an original. Would be nice to see Ubi and Massive conserve D1 servers, at least for a couple few more years. Show it's fan base some recognition, and deal with this Asian spam bot $h*t.
*steps off soap box*
Personally me reported one spammer at least 100 times, still the same name is spamming the chatbox over and over.
Nothing was and is done by Ubi/Massive. This is how the reporting system is "working".
Over that I reported many of the obviously cheater, RPM/treleport/shoot over the wall with video evidence, and some players still active...
This reporting system vaste of time, this is just cosmetic for those who think this is working.
And the players all wonderintg why the DZ is so toxic. Yesterday we were in DZ, there were servers where was almost nobody, or there were some others, where there were some hacker team, they were not using teleport or more visible hack, only they had incredible high dmg, me and my shield was gone under 0,5sec, impossible...
Everybody is wondering why the regular and persistant players are so upset and why the mothers of the players are mentioned so many times![]()
I LOVE my D3 build. I use it to solo challenging content quickly. When playing legendary, I switch one gearset item over to stamina and change my 2 damage mods over to resilience like the other two and I'll go tank for the team and draw aggro while they do damage. I can last quite a long while right in the midst of a group of legendary NPC's. But, in the DZ, it gets busted in less than a second every single time by PvP. I know the strikers build stacks by hitting the shield which was a stupid design decision. I see that it would be fair to give them some because of a small hit area not covered by the shield, but I mean come on, who CAN'T hit a shield? Maybe if it would have been every 5, or 7 hits maybe it would have been better.Originally Posted by X.O_IIIIIII Go to original post
Last night alone, in maybe 2 hours of game play, I reported and ignored 28 unique users. They all HAD THE EXACT SAME MESSAGE. They used to mostly be in Penn, but now I see at least one in each of the regions.
If any UBI rep sees this, I would love to know how these reports are handled. I assume you can look at the logs to see what and how often a person posts on chat. If they are found to be a spammer, what happens then? My gut feeling is that the username is banned but the account is not. They then change their username, using the same account, and repeat the next minute. The reason I suspect this is the way it is, because I have a hard time believing there is enough Asians doing the "pay for play" service that they could come out ahead buying the game every day.
I don't know how game programming works, but I am a Sys Admin for a living and there too it is a constant battle against spammers. I review spam, and on spam that has a repetitive message, I use it in my blacklist of terms. Eventually, they change the wording and I add more. It is ongoing, but after every punch, there is a counter that makes them change. Here, I don't see any change except for the screen name.
I propose one of these as possible solution:
Regional chat. This wouldn't eliminate the spam, but would somewhat quarantine it to one region limiting its reach. I also see this suggestion a lot anyway.
On reported spam cases, build a blacklist commonly used spam terms FOR ALL LANGUAGES including public posted contact info (email, twitch, youtube, etc). I'd suggest letting those pass through Whisper or in-group chat.
Ban the user account, not just username
Make it to where so much play time is required for repeated posting. Meaning, that real people only do LFG/LFM or asking for help with a mission, etc. so many times before they move on and start playing the game. I would think the game could tell if their character never leaves the safe house. Just throwing numbers out, but say, each day, you can have 20 messages while only in safe areas. After which, they have to play (be in enemy area, in mission, etc) so long before they could post there. Or, at least they have to switch regions/safe house. I do know of a few users that spend a LOT of time in the social areas both chatting and giving opinions and answering questions (AcidChylde comes to mind - I listed him because that is a positive, not 'naming and shaming'.
Is it possible to detect keystrokes? In other words, if the person logs into the game, and never actually PLAYS the game, but only chat spams all night, is that detectable?
Have a reviewable insta-lock. This could surely be abused for griefing, but if xx number of people reported the same spammer within xx amount of time, their chat rights would be blocked until account could be reviewed. At that point, if they were indeed spamming, then the users account is banned. If it sounded like a real person not a spam bot and they were just posting a lot repetitively, maybe a warning.
I've got quite a few other ideas/methods, but I am not sure they would work or be well received in the gaming world like they are in the business world.
I just got told by a UBI rep over on the FC5 page to not spam posts about my annoyance about them not fixing easyanticheat detecting Asus Aura as a cheat engine (for over 6 months). I posted 2 posts, and answered someone else's question on the topic. I told him to go play The Division if he needs examples of spam. LOL
I'll probably get banned instead of the real spammers.![]()
OMG really? EAC detect Asus Aura as a cheatengine?Originally Posted by Bambihunter1971 Go to original post
There will be a lot of fake ban in Division 2 too, I have also Asus MB, and also my Gigabyte 1080 Ti has Aura program settings...
Turning on D3:
I know, that 1v4 it is not so easy to survive, but everything depends on the opponents. Already 1-2 good players can kill you, but sometimes 4-5 can't.
But the story I talked was about a PREDATOR, where sou should have 9000 Stamina to use the most usefull talent, the bleeding effect. I also have 4 predator sets, it is impossible to make such a big dmg with its, and also however you have 9000 stamina, this seems peenut in the fight, and your HP melting down like icecream in the sahara.
I mainly played PvE in the first 1,5-2 years, but now I play 99,99% only PvP in DZ, so now I had many experience with players, how good they are, what build they use, and how well they made the build.
Last week I played an 1v1 with an Solo Nomad rogue, I was in D3 he was solo nomad, practically this was not the original 1v1, as we have just met in DZ, and he was rogue, and I attacked him, and there were no other players there at all.
You can imagine, that this fight was almost 3-4 minutes longHe had 4-5 lifes, and I used my tact link (not the survival), non of use had medkit for the end
This guy was so hard, I checked, and he has over 12k rogue kill.
So I am not 100% sure and I don't have BattleEyebut me and we can decide if somebody is cheaeting, for example using hipfire and norecoil+aimbot, or just aimbot. Or it is easy to decide if he has damage boost or rpm, as rpm is visible, and we know what time is needed for the shield to be damaged totally, when you have no time to use medkit, and the shielod is gone, that is at least "strange". (no, I am sure many of the are using somthing), ~2 weeks ago we met a guy, he had over 4500 commendation score, and he was using LMG and RPM, he shoot all of the bullets out under 0,1 sec, like the lasergun.
Yep, and it has persisted since the middle of last year. That is the annoying part. I am in I.T. I know things often can't be resolved overnight but if I left software compatibility issues stay for that long I would be out of a job.Originally Posted by X.O_IIIIIII Go to original post
Since I've been warned of my 'opinion' regarding this, I'll just post links so you can see it is not just me. If for some reason it strips them out, just search for: easyanticheat lightingservice.exe

The list goes on and on...

Thanks for the links too.
Over that, the situation according to the SPAM BOTS is worse than before.
In the terminal you totally nopt able to write anything, as now there are at least 2-4 bots, who are spamming fully (chinese or somthing far east characters mainly) the chat box.
It is not possible to make them to be ignored as that function is not working at all.
And the account names are the same, I have already reported 1000 times....
What the hell is going on?
It is one of the most easy to recognize a spammer, as that is repeating the same **** text 7/24...
Really, is this so hard to recognize that?
Would it be possible to make the ignore list, I dont want to hear or read anything from them at all!!!!
The ignore list seems to work for me. The problem is that for some stupid reason it isn't carrying over to my other characters. I am sure they are being reported (I do as well). The text is the exact same but the username does indeed change nearly daily. They used to just spam Penn but now it is all over. So, I think they do block them, but not rescind their game account.
I write filters at least weekly for our Exchange server and/or mail firewall. It isn't easy, but it does work; especially when they send the same message. That is the best case scenario type of spam to me. Why they can't block it in game is beyond me. Then again, I don't know anything about game programming so what do I know...
