How am i supposed to fix this issue? I've had this before with a previous update but it's now happened again and i cannot get passed it. I've hard reset the Xbox twice, i've deleted the game and re-installed it and still it will not go further than the title screen and 'Checking for additional content'. I've sat for well over an hour collectively on all my numerous attempts to get it to load and it's done nothing.
If you are playing the game on a PC via steam downloaded content you have to go back and verify the game files. I had the same problem after trying to get Legacy of the First Blade to load. Odyssey kept on crashing at check additional content. Verifying the game files fixed the problem.

Could you please try the following troubleshooting steps if you haven't already done so.
1. Power cycle your console.
2. Delete the games installation data, then reinstall the game and all of the DLC content that you own along with the latest update and try again.
If the issue persists the only other suggestion is to delete the local saves as mentioned above. If you have an external HDD you could backup your local saves.
Can't say I love your reply. Asking me to check for Stadia connection issues is not the issue, and it's been documented in a ton of places outside of Stadia. Starting to get the feeling that I'm screwed here.

So in the mean time I have paid you for software I cannot use for an indefinite amount of time. Possibly never being fixed since the issue has been around since at least AC Syndicate in 2016 (https://www.reddit.com/r/assassinscr...l_content_for/) Actual assurance that a real fix is coming would be nice. Otherwise I would be entitled to a refund.
