Judging from the thread below, it looks like the problem may lie with the OS, rather than the game.

The issue was fixed on the Huawei after a recent system update, according to the original poster. That implies that a system update on your device may also be needed to fix this issue.

I really like the fancy high res animations. Would look even better if I could see them rather than the scrunched up issue.
