    $10 a piece for emotes.

So massive/ubisoft has decided to squeeze the last drop of blood from the broken stone that is Division 1. First they said there will be no micro-transactions. Then they added micro-transactions and loot boxes. We were tolerant as we could grind keys to open these boxes for cosmetics and emotes but that wasn't enough for them. As grindy as it was, now they have completely stripped us of the ability to unlock emotes through cypher keys, charging up to $10 for something that is essentially glorified animations. They've begun stripping features behind paywalls that were originally available to us for free. I hope this reminds everyone of Destiny.

Division 2 is around the corner. Don't mess it up.

They never said there would be no mtx, they said there would be no mtx during the first year, they kept that promise.
This encrypted cache change is concerning though, if they're going to do this so late in the games development then how far will they go in TD2?

    So?

It’s not as if you need the emotes to play the game. It’s an unnecessary luxury, an indulgence, or as you said, a glorified animation.

If you want something you gotta be prepared to pay for it.

Or are you trying to tell other people how best to spend their money?

Well charging for anything in a game that has more bugs in it every week is a bit rich, maybe if they spend their time fixing a game ppl paid good money for instead of trying to milk bugged game for every penny it would not seem so bad.

I cant wait to count the bugs and glitches in TD2, gonna be hundreds in the first year alone just like TD and I'm sure Ubi will be just as good at fixing them also as in not.
