I'm pretty much playing this game since 1.5 and used to enjoy playing it. It was fun for a certain amount of time. But too much has changed. Pretty much everthing i had was Nerfed. My Pred, My Striker, an My Alphabridge My MP7, an my G36C. Honestly with the Classified sets they pretty much ruined the game. Now everyone is OP and theres absolutely no skill in the game anymore. I honesty hate when a group of 4 using Striker and Pred with shock turrets pretty much a 1v4 kill you an than emote your body and yell "Your Trash *REMOVED*" or "Get Good" or "You suck". The toxicity is atrocious. You can't even scratch people in PvP anymore with a shotgun, SMG, or a AR. If someone gets clapped by a build they complain and moan to ubisoft for a nerf. also another thing that annoyed me is the enemys. They eat bullets like a MOFO. I put 3-6 Clips in a dude and he doesnt die. Like the extremely spongy level 35 enemies that can 2 shot you with 400k+ toughness and 75% mitigation from ridiculous distances.You guys took the fun part definitely out with the recent nerfs and Butchered the entire game when classy sets came out. They require NO SKILL. period. Im honestly on the end up quitting and just wait till division 2 comes out. Than wait they will Butcher that game too Ive had my fun with the cheese that goes on. i just dont know what to do anymore.

So claiming the game is no fun before it is even released seems like overkill![]()
@op
By enemies you mean pvp or pve?
Pvp has lots and lots and lots and lots of cheaters. I have seen my 9k stam got nailed by 3 hits from a shotgun. So that tells a lot.
Fir pve with destructive talent in your assault rifle, even elite npcs are down within seconds. If you are playing legendary then its different though.
Thanks and regards

I've never really got the beef with classifieds - sure they make up a certain amount when it comes to skill but far far from entirely and there are still plenty of options with classified, hybrid and hexo builds that in the right hands will wreck 3-4 other players of lower skill using a full classified set. The bigger problem in my experience and why I rarely bother with the DZ is getting an even playing field in terms of latency and cheating - more often than not I encounter people who can seemingly 1-3 shot me even when I'm using a 9K stamina setup with any weapon from any range while tanking almost any level of damage than I do a good fight - I've got a ton of PVP background in other games so not like I'm a sitting duck, etc. and I have fully optimised 290+ GS setups that are PVP focussed to work from, etc.
I completely agree that the majority of the people left in the DZ are of the toxic nature. They have always existed, but it used to seem they were in the minority but now almost all who go rogue are like that. It used to be more of a 'nothing personal' type rogues that went about their business. Occasionally you would even get some positive comments even though you were just killed. Last time I was in there (for the SHIELDS) it was just as you described. It doesn't matter to me as I don't have any desire to go in there, so I don't. That's why I don't get a lot of people saying that having a PvE DZ will ruin the DZ. Why? Some of us don't participate anyway, so we aren't affecting your game in any way. But, I digress...
That is the other thingOriginally Posted by Bambihunter1971 Go to original postI come from a Quake 2/3 background where the odd toxic player aside there was usually a lot of respect - sure some banter but it was largely good natured - seems more often these days you encounter people who are purely toxic - for me having been playing online for near 25 years it is water off a duck's back but it isn't something I'd chose to be around and I can see how it would be unpleasant for people with less experience.
I was in my mid-20s playing the original Doom on a serial connection when it was new, so I've been around the block a few times myself, and can say that the comparison here is not very good. For starters, there was no voice, it was text chat only. Secondly, the game was as-is, meaning there was no gear, no mods, no rolls, no talents, and everyone had the same guns and they did the same amount of damage for all of us. So if the guy was circle-strafing you and repeatedly kicking your butt there was literally no excuse or nothing you could make up to curse at him for - he was faster and that was that. Bare bones simplicity does have its benefit in this case.Originally Posted by Rroff Go to original post
Having said that, I was playing online Quake when it was new too (and rocking the fastest dial-up connection available at the time) and remember lots of little hacks that everyone was able to get away with because anti-cheat hadn't even been developed yet and the game was wide open. One of the earliest was the ability to directly edit your character's skins, and someone made some online skins that fits all the tech specs perfectly but was a random pattern using the Quake background color pallete. Essentially an early version of digital camouflage, and it was pretty effective, making it hard to get a bead on an opponent. Of course as soon as we saw one person doing this everyone had it and the effectiveness wore off quickly (except against noobs).
So it wasn't all butterflies and unicorns, and I think the perceived lower levels of toxicity were not necesarrily because gamers were better natured back then - it was just a limitation of the tech and game design.
Well said. There always was and always will be toxic gamers. It used to be just limited to smack talk in forums or at the most in real time chat in game. With the availability of in game voice chat it's instant gratification for these bullies. Best course of action is to blow it off..say 'what ever dude, have fun'...and move on. Give these people attention and making a big deal out of their behavior is exactly what they want. Attention positive or negative is still attention.Originally Posted by Sock_Monkey Go to original post
That's because the engine wasn't sophisticated enough to even make it possible to hack headshots from the other end of the map with an AR, or get indefinite lives. I do remember there was a "god" hack where they just didn't take damage, and you definitely couldn't get a kill against anyone using that. It was pretty obvious when someone was using that though.Originally Posted by LAGS.WITCH.ER Go to original post
But again, it's not that Quake was better. A modern automobile is easier to hack than a bicycle, but that doesn't mean the bike is a better-engineered product. Sophistication just offers more inroads for those looking to exploit the software for malicious intent.
