I recently bought a Kinect for Xbox One X as well as Just Dance 2019 for X-mas. Since day one we have been having issues with Just Dance Unlimited. Specifically getting the error "Lost connection to server" in the middle of an Unlimited song. There is no degradation of video quality prior to the message, and afterward, the game becomes unresponsive. While troubleshooting, I noticed that there is only an issue when there are 4 or more dancers. This has been confirmed over 20 times and is further confirmed when we limit the dancer count to 3 as sometimes the Kinect will start tracking someone sitting on the couch bringing the total number of "dancers" to 4, and then shortly after we get the error. The Xbox is accessing the internet via an Ethernet cable and speed and latency numbers are fine. I have tried the fixes listed for the Xbox One on the Ubisoft website to no avail. I have been working with Ubisoft support (ticket #07662642) with little help. Is anybody else having similar issues or would know a fix?
This is certainly an odd situation if you are disconnecting at 4 players and able to stay consistently connected at 3 players. Are you able to reliably make this happen? Have you unplugged everything from your Xbox One including the power cable, the Kinect, and the ethernet so you can reseat them? That may help.
I'm glad I found this thread. This happened to us on new years eve (when we were having a party), and happened to us again yesterday... I can honestly now say that this happens 100% of the time when we have multiple people playing at the same time. I can't attest to how many people though.
The only way to fix it (which is temporary) is to restart the game completely (which takes 5 mins). The day before my 7yr old's birthday party I tested the system to make sure it was working, and it worked. But she was the only person dancing. The next day, once again, we kept getting the server error with the unlimited songs.
It doesn't seem like anyone has responded with a fix though.
Have you had any luck?
RiddledWord,
In the News and Announcements section, a couple of weeks ago Ubisoft posted the following thread regarding disconnects on the WDF:
https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.ph...p-Other-Issues
Evidently, they are still working on it. It seems that I haven't been disconnected from the WDF as much as other players, but I have had occasional disconnects, as recent as two days ago.
I'm not sure that your issue is related, but since there are known connection issues presently, perhaps it will be resolved once Ubisoft finishes with their current fixes.
(New's Years Eve and spring break tend to result in more people dancing at the same time, so the problems may have been even more pronounced during these times.)
Good luck.
