Anno 2070 Multiplayer Problem and cd key not valid in steam | Forums

Hey I have the problem that I wanted to play anno 2070 with a friend and we were unable to connect to each other. He has the game on steam, I bought it recently in uplay (because we thought would be nice to play together....). I had the idea to add the game into my steam library to have the same version of the game ( read it on the forum) but the cd key is not valid? Uplay says i have to change some ports but really? In this time of multiplayers and patches? Not a fan sry. Also if he starts his game over steam the autopatcher does not open maybe there´s a issue?

Also I cant play the save game from my Laptop on my PC does the cloud not work with anno?
Thanks for the help. It would be nice to be able to play the game together since that was the reason for byuing it.

Hello Pandainc.

If you purchased a game on Uplay you will not be able to activate the game on Steam. Your only option would be to add the game as a 'Non Steam Game'.

Update: after my friend reinstalled the game the autopatcher started and the version was the same. Multiplayer worked fine so far.

Also just for information the "non steam game"does not find anno 2070 so its not possible to add it this way either.
