    Each to their own.
    But I'd say no.

No gearset has requirements that I can think of, but the weapon talents and such do. So, decide if the talents that work for the gun(s) you want to use will work. If it does, then you are good. I run 4k ele on most of my Lonestar's. In Resistance I use mobile cover some when securing SHD terminal and immunizer during contamination events. Both work better with Ele. Plus, I like to use Ferocious which requires 38xx electronics. I do have one of my LMG's with it in the free talent, but my exotics obviously have their own talent there instead.

How does the relative freedom of gear sets versus the limitations of weapons and weapon talents (with regards to stats especially) impact your loadout customization?

I am beginning to think a lot of these questions are just pat questions to extend conversion but, it sure beats silence from many dev's. :-)

I do appreciate that the gear sets themselves do not have much of a score requirement save for Alphabridge I guess. For the most part, I think the item talents were well thought out and at 2k hours in the game, I am still finding interesting ways to use them on different loadouts. I wish the guns did not have a default talent that always rolls. The M700 Carbon comes to mind that always rolls elevated in the free talent.
On gear sets, I don't quite understand why some resistances can be rolled more than one place (Burn for sure), whereas most others cannot.

@Ubi-RealDude, I really hope they are considering my idea of running all 6 GE's back to back to back right up to the week early release (or close). It will give people one last time to get those gear set items they are lacking, can give a lot of Div Tech to optimize (for SHIELD), but most of all. They are just plain fun! A lot of my long-time day one TD1 player friends hardly play normally anymore but at least a few of them will play for a while during the GE's. It just shakes things up a bit to make the same game seem a little fresher.

I'd wager they're like that to try and encourage a certain play style with those weapons. As a sort of follow-up to my first question, how important is total play style freedom to your experience?
