Can we drop the leaver penalty already? | Forums

I feel as if Ubisoft at times is blinder then a bat to what the community wants, needs or is asking for, and this is something *nobody* asked for.
If Ubisoft's servers where not broken, i'd understand it, i'm tired of having to wait 15 minutes between matches because of connection errors.
If the match maker was of any value at all, I'd understand the penalty.
If this game's balance worked better, i'd understand it.

But right now, I'm so so so so so so so so tired of playing matches that makes me the fill in against a team of pre made pub stompers, or team mates so bad that i'm just forced to sit though a 4 man deathball of cheese wardens/conqs/cents/insert other annoying gimmic heroes here.

Go look up the steam player base and be horrified at how badly it's lost players since marching fire and the leaver penalty being added.

The system does not apply the penalty for lost connection ( technical error )

if you leave by your will then you deserve it .

MrB3NX is right, there is no penalty for a lost connection. I believe in the penalty, I trust the penalty. If I am being honest, I think the penalty needs to be more severe, but that's just me.

I don't like being placed with bots when my team mates decide to leave and I also feel sorry for the last guy standing on the opposing team.

Keep the penalty, we like the penalty.

The leaving when bad connection thing might be on my end as well, my ISP is not great, and whenever i lose internet For Honor flat out freezes to a black screen leaving me with just sound and the game still playing [I think?] and the only way i can get it going again is to ALT+F4, no idea why it does that.

The penalty can be fixed a little bit in my opinion.
It has happened to me that I left a lobby while there was the ''vs'' screen due to friends inviting me to join, but leaving during that time will trigger an unnecessary penalty. Come on, the match hasn't started yet, it's unnecessary. Same has happened to me in the post match screen during the countdown: i left the room to accept the invite and I found myself with the penalty.
Everything else is fine, quitters need to be punished.

This happened to me today and I recorded it. haven't saved it to one drive yet to upload it. However I should point out that after backing all the way out to the main screen and waiting a few minutes it allowed me to join another dominion game.

there is no real ranked mode in this game

it's a solo mode so who cares if you left the match ? no one .

This would be the smart way to do it, but Ubisoft won't dish out the extra xp and steel to get people to play ranked. It would mess up the grind and throw off their shark card/steel sales.

If they made ranked duel rewards available for ranked 4v4 and added 40-50 steel extra per match then people would play it, especially now that gear is useless, I think the gear stats being gone was the biggest killer of ranked modes before, now it's dead just because everyone is moving on to other games and matchmaking takes too long.
