It's marching fire, all problems lead back to marching fire, with gear stats gone the Devs thought that it would make a more equal playing field, but they where so so so so so so dead wrong that it's funny, it broke all the heavies other then JJ [because he was built without gear stats in mind] and Conq [because he got reworked to fit in the meta] and it created other problems in the meta everywhere

The Meta changed, it used to be.....more skill based? as i feel right now, and with Warden's insane pick rate, it's become a matter of RNG on the 50/50s like shoulderbash and shield bash from Conq, whoever can land more cheese wins, and if your hero can't do that, it's just turtling and waiting for revenge, we're back to year one meta because the Dev's apparently don't play test long enough......it's made the game so hard to get into that most people refuse to learn, because why bother when you spend your first few matches being steam rolled by hard to understand cheese tactics?

This game lost nearly 20% of it's playerbase since Marching fire, it's gone catastrophically bad, and instead of addressing the issues by in large, the Dev team has been only promising us the obvious fixes, like Shogoki and Law Bringer reworks [They are bottom tier right now] and nothing that fixes the current meta, It's fundmentaly broken top to bottom.

I love For Honor, but it's in a sad state right now, sad enough i would not recommended it to my friends, even if it's free.

I got put in a match with a 8 noob running not even a Rep 1 kensie. He was on my team against other people like myself. I actually thought to myself, "what the **** is this guy doing here?"
He was way out matched by every single player on both teams. I genuinely felt sorry for him. We pulled off the W but the kensie went 3 and 5. He shouldn't have been in our que.

Until they fix hits going through guard and do something about light spam I wouldn't recommend it to a friend. In fact I wouldn't buy it again. The game is too broken in its current state for learning. Offense in this game with most of the roster is cheese to win on console. No real skill to win just a game of hungry hungry hippos button smashing bashes and light spam.

This!!! So much this!! Even against bots the "guard-fail-bug" happens way too often (sad that I am at the stage that I just hope it does not happen every 5 attacks, I am actually expecting some guards to not work atm).

They really have to look into the "meta". Light-spam isn´t just not fun to play against, it´s also a very bad habit that these Players that are using it teach themselves. There is no skill in mashing one button to death. I main Orochi from release of the game and I refuse to light-spam to cheese a win. I either win with skill or I lose with honor. The sad thing is that even if I win by skill I get hatemail like "spam more noob".

Ubisoft, you are destroying your game that way. I don´t know if tweaking lights to 450ms would help, needs to be tested but for the sake of my sanity please work on fixing that block-is-not-blocking-bug.

I have To say i agree.
If i may share my own experience, i've played on ps4 since day 1 and got 137 reps there with such a decent kd ratios which brings me at the Master ranked doors.

Then at the end of November 2018 i've got a very good pc and decide To give a try at FH on PC.
In my mind i could not stay on PC because i would miss my huge 4k screen etc.
But since i've try i cant leave FH on PC !
It is so much a better expérience, it feels like an entire other game than on console with the beautiful graph and 140fps 😍 i am able to parry things i couldnt even block on console . And this makes the gameplay really different, i would say smarter. Because light spam doesn't work and bash spam become punishable if abused (except with conq of course).
I've already met some reps 20 players on PC which play with more skills than reps 100 on console because, you have to on PC.

Few days ago my Uplay account had a problem and then i've done maybe 7 games on ps4 again ... it was horrible.. match making still more broken than ever, light spam impossible to handle, ganking at his best, JJ and Tiandi everywhere .. in these 7 games my team won two times only and i've end with a positive ratio not even half of the time .. this game is not made for console. The gaming expérience feels really unpleasant and more stressfull than anything else.
This makes me being sure i want to Forget these 137 reps. .

When I played the Marching Fire beta on my laptop I felt like a complete god! (not necessarily due to the fact that I got matched up with rep 0's and other console plebs like me ).
I deflected every Orochi light that got thrown at me ('every' might be a bit of an overstatement but still...).
When I tried playing on my PS4 a few days later, I was immediately struck with the fact I couldn't react to the lightspam at all, I was so disappointed.
I don't have For Honor on my laptop, didn't download the free version either because I intend to use my laptop for studying/professional purposes only.

I have to say that I've observed the same. Have been playing on XBOX for a few months. Was having trouble blocking and parrying; I couldn't understand how others were doing it in their videos. Picked up on comments about the different experiences on PC, so a few weeks ago I bought the game on sale for PC. It's true; its a very difference experience and was much easier to work out the timing, etc. It helped me when going back to console, but need faster reaction time for blocking, etc.
