    "Rogue police" whining?

OK, anyone get this lately? You kill some rogues and they whine and complain "What, do you think you're the rogue police or something?" Or typically, far more vulgar variations of it. 7 out of the last 10 times I killed a group I get this cussing and yelling about being the "rogue police."

Can someone who routinely goes rogue please, please explain to me exactly what the expectation is with the game now? I thought the guys who liked to go rogue were the ones who said the DZ should remain unpredictable, and ganking / shooting in the back / etc. was all "part of the DZ" and fair game. It almost sounds now like they expect to be left alone to go around ganking players who don't want to PvP, and if you engage and kill them it's bad form on your part - even though they are the ones who chose to go rogue.

Is the game old enough we are now scraping the bottom of the barrel on the player base? I am thinking of hanging my "guns" up for good these days...

I always appreciate groups going rogue, its something to do for 15 or 20 minutes. But you do get some who moan because as soon as they get manhunt other players flood the area. You canmt have a clear run once you get manhunt but some do want a clear run.

You rogue hunters are a blessing to DZ farmers.

Back when I was still going into the DZ, I got ganked at extraction (but waited to the last second so they didn't get my stuff). Right as I went two of the rogues went down from an unknown sniper. They respawned as did I. I was heading to a different area when I encountered them again. One downed me, and again the sniper got 2 of them. I had a box down so I got back up and continued on. I rounded a corner and into the other two. I backed up just to see if they would follow and if the sniper was still there. Pow, pow, two more rogues down. I turned the direction I knew he was. I gave a salute emote as I knew he was probably still looking. I then headed on. I saw the snipers name appear several more times as killing people but after 45 minutes or so, I saw the group finally found him and killed my guardian angel. There were a few beautiful moments like that in the DZ, and a lot that were indifferent; players passing as they go with an occasional rogue. But, the longer I played the DZ in TD1, the more the group of 4 ganking you in the back while you were engaged with the NPC's, then t-bagging your corpse while vulgar chatting about it (yea you, 4 v 1, you're awesome).

Thankfully, they finally made stuff available elsewhere and I never went back except for the SHIELD commendations months ago.

That's a rarity. There are so few good sniping positions in the DZ. I have both Deadeye and HF but rarely use them, due to such a dearth of decent locations where I am not totally exposed.

Yeah, that's what I understand. It has been long enough now that I am not sure I could remember where I was at, but the person had a view of two different streets. I never really looked for him. I figure if he wanted found he would have said something. Perhaps he was just up on one of the area on the rooftop where the landmarks are. Incidentally, there is a thread about improved sniping spots. For a counter-rogue idea, I think sniping is awesome but if a person could go rogue from a distance and you'd never get a shot off, that would turn me off the DZ even more than it currently does.

I like the DZ police and have been saved a few times. I have even had some random D3 player just sit at DZ9 extraction waiting for rogues. He didn't have any bag, just patiently waiting.
I'm just there to collect Divtech. I have never been rogue and never will.

I do this a lot if I don't have stuff to extract myself. If the extraction is from a team I won't bother them because in most cases they can take care of themselves, but if it's an individual I'll hang out just to help if rogues try to hijack their extraction (went on for 10 min this AM and smacked down a single rogue that tried to gank a newbie's extraction, then waited for the player to respawn and pick up his stuff).

So if you ever see my tag lurking around when you have an extraction on the way don't be concerned. I have never hijacked anyone's extraction.

Funny I have set of rules I mostly abide bye
    1. Don’t kill easy prey low level players
    2. Don’t interfere with 1v1
    3. If it’s a group on group I stay out
    4. If said group doesn’t fire at me I don’t fire back
    5. If I cut a rope and realize the gear is low level I leave it.
I try to have fun but not absolutely crush someone for the heck of it
