    PS4 Sound Issues

Several different types of sound are either completely absent from some matches, or only appear here and there.
I.E., My Heroes combat sounds, the Guardian in breaches sound, pike men and officer, feats. Never all at the same time, but almost every match is missing atleast one.

I've tried every sound setting on my TV and tried another TV, and a different HDMI cord.

I'm sure this has been brought up before, if a fix is out please comment the link. I tried searching for it in Known/Fixed issues and in the Search bar

Hey there BaneOfTheLegions! Thanks for the report.

If you have access, can you check if this happens while using a headset or using the Digital Audio (Optic) output?

It doesnt allow me to select the Dolby Digital sound option, its stuck in PCM. I'll find some headphones and try them to see, I dont have a soundbar to try optic.

Does the issue persist if you set the sound to stereo?

I do not have that option on this TV,
Just the standard/movie/speech/etc., Line/RF, PCM is the only Format it'll let me choose, and theres the DTS TruSurround/Tru Dialog.
I've played with these options in-game and they just effect the volume of certain elements.

Game mode seems to solve the issue for the most part, (changes the sound setting to game too), but the Guardian/Commander and random teammates sound effects are still missing here and there.

Have you tried the steps in this FAQ?

Yes I have. I've tried another HDMI cord and another TV, I'd obviously have no picture on the wrong input and i don't have the issue on other games.
But like i said in my previous post, the sound switching to "game mode" solved all except the Guardian/Commander sound and some teammates combat sound. Neither of which are really gameplay impairing

Interesting! Just to confirm, you are outputting sound through your TV's speakers? You did mention trying a pair of headphones in an earlier post as well.

Yes, im using the standard TV Speakers.
Unfortunately the issue has returned, I'd say 1 out of 4 games I lose the combat sounds(i.e., weapon hits, blocks, parries, and hero sounds).
Not sure what's going on, but if it's only me having this issue then I guess we can probably say it has to be on my end.

    Hey BaneOfTheLegions,

Have you tried rebuilding the database on your PS4?

    This can solve performance issues.

    Cheers.
