Settlers 6 (History Edition) is not launching

    Hello at all,

i bought the Settlers History Collection but Settlers 6 is not launching.
I start it and see for short time a black screen, then it's closing.

Does anyone have the same problem?

I overlooked the data in the games folder and didn't find a .exe there. The other settler games have it and start normally.

    Thank you for your answers!

I have the same issue. I was able to get an RwEngineStart() error. Searching for that error I was able to get it to work in windowed mode, not full screen.

Go to C:\Users\%USER-NAME%\Documents\THE SETTLERS - Rise of an Empire\Config
    Open Options.ini in Notepad

Windowed=0 is Full Screen (won't work for me, even with reduced resolution)
    Windowed=1 is Windowed mode

I found this on a Steam thread:

This at least got it to work, but no border scrolling. Still searching for better settings or options.

    Thanks for sharing dlndic!

It may be worth verifying your installation, Schleki99. Please check our FAQ here.
I'd also making sure Uplay and the game have admin rights.

History Edition versions made for modern PC, have problems. Whether it's full screen or crashing, the bottom line is, Ubisoft don't give a crap.
I tried with Settlers 1 original which wouldn't go full screen. Back n forth with Ubi support whilst they explained it was possible, and it was one of the bullet points which the game was updated for. What it actually was however... It filled the screen sure, but the game play area didn't. They still asked for screenshots after 4 mails, and they confirmed yes its still possible. Eventually after weeks of back n forth, someone else joined the conversation to explain that no it cant go fully screen lol Ubisoft not caring about their customers is an understatement. Terrible stain on the games industry which can do nothing creative other than repaints of assassin creed bore zzz or break old classics which weren't originally produced by themselves.

Dont get me started on Uplay / connect.
    Bloody amateurs.
