I like most of these ideas. However I’m not a fan of the Optical Camo, so I’d like it if whoever you’re up against has jammers the prevent it working.Originally Posted by Lukecucaracha Go to original post
As a contrast to the stealth side of things, I’d also like some more overt tactics. Laser designate targets for air strikes and similar.
On some of the extraction type missions, it could be good to have to get to an LZ and a waiting helo.
Definitely need a breach mechanic in there. Perhaps as an upgradable skill. Start with lock picking, the sledge, shotgun and finally EMOE.
A minor rework of the flight controls. I like the classic controls but they need a dedicated button to switch on a crosshair and give you the ability to strafe.
-Definitely agree that players should have more command options and weapon customization options for the AI teammates. AI commands to include deploying frags, smoke, flashbangs, demo, cover fire from a designated defense position, cover fire from point to point, and performing actions like disarming bombs, hacking, etc so the player has the option to either perform the action themselves or chose to cover their AI teammate doing the action.
-Agree to moving dropped bodies
-I would like to see equipment slots so that the player and teammates are limited to what they can carry and there's more of a role to play. The drone would be something to fill an equipment slot and can be swapped out with a heavy demo charge, more ammo capacity, etc. You can also swap flash bangs for smoke grenades or mines. Limit what your character can carry!
-No more gimmicks and fancy animated camera swinging in the story briefings. Make them more realistic and believable. Have them take place inside safe houses where photos and intel locations are laid out on the table for the players to look at while being given the briefing. Less gimmicks, more realism.
-Loot bodies for ammo rather than just stepping over them
-More methods of collecting primary mission, side mission, and weapons intel by searching enemy vehicles and bodies for maps locating targets and locations that would provide more specific intel. Rather than arriving in a new province and having all of the mission intel locations already on the map, have just one intel location and allow the player to search and find more intel with other methods. Villagers you can talk to can also give clues as to where to find primary mission intel as well.
-More mission variety such as bomb diffusing, rescuing hostages from hijacked vehicles like busses and planes, taking down cargo aircraft, ambushing landing strips where allied or enemy cargo is expecting to land.
-Have random missions occur after the story is completed where high ranking enemies are randomly selected for assignation or extraction missions, allied forces under heavy fire and needing assistance, demo/sabotage/hacking missions, escorting allies or rescued hostages to helicopter extraction missions, intercepting large troop transports, defending against raids at random locations, securing airdrops where Ghost crates or SpecOps crates are parachuting down from cargo planes randomly around the map -a variety of random things happening at random times rather than replaying the same story missions or grinding resources.
-Have AI teammates call out enemies from the player's clock position rather than "by the tires"
-Designate camo patterns to their respective locations be more effective against enemy detection.
-Have climate appropriate clothing on villagers and enemies in their respective regions of the map.
- Oversized shotguns
- Weapons with incorrect trigger groups and incorrect magazine capacities.
- Optical sights in incorrect positions on weapons.
- Over-reacting enemy forces who call in an entire army battalion along with CAS just because they spotted 1 of your guys.
- Enemies using mortars as AA weapons.
- SAM launchers that target civilian aircraft when piloted by the player, but not when piloted by civilians.
- Dual-wielding 360 no scope aimbot enemies who can snipe you from 400 metres away.
- Enemies who are able to pinpoint your exact location after you fire a single shot.
- Highly trained special forces team mates who can't even tell the difference between a Cobra and an Apache, nor an LMG and a minigun.
Oh, wait a sec...
I still struggle that Windows 4 never came out.Originally Posted by GAP_Computer Go to original post
****, seems I forgot some things off my list of things we need for GRW2:
- Intrusive kernel-level anti-cheat for the PvE portion of the game *cough* EAC *cough*
- Bugs from launch that still exist after two years.
- AI that demand we take them off some sweet jumps every time we get into a helicopter.
- Vehicle Drop Off skill that only drops helos inside garages, and drops ground vehicles 27 km away from requested drop position.
- Airsoft guns as LMG's - specifically the Krytac Trident LMG-E, simply known as "Mk.249" in-game, which is based on the Ares Shrike LMG.
