I have played Far Cry 3 and 4 and I really enjoy Far Cry 5 and it's DLC.
Then I have seen the alpha gameplay videos for FC:ND and I really like the new RPG-like system in a colourfull apocalyptic setting.
So here are the things I am worried about:
1. As most RPG's, they have multiple/infinite save slots. When looking at Far Cry 4/5 there are no additional save slots. Always when I played RPG games, I had a one save slot for my main game with everything unlocked and the second for repeating the campaign all over again.
2. I have played Far Cry 3 for 100 hours, the 4th.. I just started and I am still playing Far Cry 5 with a timer of 200 hours and it's still increasing, so I think that I will play this game a lot. I hope that the game will have many upgrade options and really good replayability.
3.When I saw the GFH roster in the alpha gameplay, I didn't saw the slots for the random fighters. In Far Cry 5 I really liked getting some random Whitetail Militia guys and perking up with them. I hope that you can hire those random generated fighters which you can level them up and their weapons in the full release.
What do you think, what is the biggest thing which worries you about Far Cry New Dawn?
(Sorry for any grammar mistakes, I am trying to be better in english everyday.)
Without question my biggest aggravation with Far Cry games (2-5) is the propensity and consistency of POP-IN SPAWNS............Originally Posted by Aleksander3453 Go to original post
For instance, in preparation for the Feb release of FC ND I have been replaying FC5 on my PS4 console (in order to get my controls re-acquired from playing Fallout 3, 4 and other games using different control schemes). Just last week I completed an UNDETECTED takedown of the Whistling Beaver Brewery. Cut-scene plays Cougars move into the brewery and I get my 1000 dollar bonus for completing yet another UNDETECTED outpost. I'm still far above the brewery on the easterly side undercover behind a tree and on comes Sheriff Whitehorse with his congrats and mere seconds after his comment - "who knows maybe now we'll be able to get a decent beer around here" BOOOOM! I am struck deader than a door-nail by what turned out to be the same Rocket-launcher Sniper who was the first person I took out.
How do I know this ??? ........., because the game instantly re-spawned me in the same position behind my cover and to my surprise bingo the same RL Sniper is launching another rocket at me, from his similar position atop the roof of the brewery - which I managed to dodge but not without taking some damage, thankfully I luckily downed him when in the scope I see the mortar guy (the 2nd man I took out on my previous UNDETECTED take-down of the brewery) and HE'S LAUNCHING MORTARS AT ME. WTF!!!!!
Needless to say I off'd him a second time too only to see 5 more cultists running across the bridge to the NW of the brewery and heading for it........, so although I have never had this particular happenstance occur in the game I had to deal with them too before sauntering down to collect my loot from the Brewery.
Sorry but IMHO this is borderline cheating by the game's AI as never in any of 6 (count-em 6 playthroughs) has this particular thing occurred.
I can live with the POP-IN SPAWNS which occur regularly on roadways (ie... ya zap a truck with the grenade launcher or RPG and 3 more spawn outta nowhere) I can even deal with the fact that the game don't particularly care for me getting 100% UNDETECTED take downs on outposts in all 3 regions and resorts to cheating by getting me spied by the last guy even tho it's during the actual 10 minutes of game-time when it's supposed to be NIGHT and I'm more than 200 mtrs (or whatever the units of measurements the game plays with) AWAY AND CONCEALED AT THE TIME - heck I can even deal with the same thing occurring even though it's a Chosen pilot in plane hundreds of meters above me and I'm in tree cover (as this generally only happens once or twice during a play-through for me). And yes even after 6 times now I have yet to complete my goal of 100% UNDETECTED outpost liberations (seems ALL BUT 2, that's the most the cheating AI will allow ya - but I ain't giving up on that goal yet).
In Hours of Darkness, the POP-IN SPAWNS seems to come in the form of "multiplying" the actual number of VC in the camps. Ya see the numbers of them (atop of the screen - with ALL 4 OF YOUR PERK POINTS) ya take all of them out and POOF!!! there's a half a dozen more and they ALWAYS SPOT YA - even though ya ain't even broken cover yet "stealing" your PERKS away in the process. But I like the game and I like the way it plays EXCEPT LIKE FC5 "THE GAME AI IS A CHEAT".
When are ya gonna learn UBISOFT - cheaters never win, gamers are always gonna KICK your games *** so why not atleast play somewhat fair or realistic with those paying your salary?
It's the RIGHT thing to do - far better that cheating even on infamous and harder difficulties.
FC5 ruined Some good stuff in the franchise.
1) The spawn in population practically ruined FC5. Its was simply ridiculous. Immersion breaking..
2) auto health regen — hated it! Bring back the old health system!
3) They took out the skinning animation! Bring it back.!
4) And the whole hunting survival vibe was totally lost.
I hope it has more of a survival vibe this game, more immersive.......
My biggest concern would be that they haven’t updated the AI. The companions can be very annoying, always screaming and cursing about every little thing. I ended up liking the animals best because they’re less dramatic, although I agree that it was really cool to hire generic henchmen and see what skills they could unlock.
I also hope the co-op experience is improved. Felt unrewarding to help a friend when it didn’t save progress for both players.
