[FEEDBACK] [SUGGESTIONS] Why Can We Not Have Updates Directly From the Devs?
Pretty well every single Ubisoft game currently out EXCEPT for Ghost Recon Wildlands has ongoing discussion between the devs and the community, either through dev streams, dev blogs, dev updates, whatever. Why is it so hard for Ghost Recon Wildlands to have the same thing happening? It literally would take no effort to answer community questions, and would be a huge step in bringing this game to what it should be. Is there a "no contact" clause for the Ghost Recon team? Is there anything inhibiting them from actually reaching out and making connections with the community, to see what the community is actually looking for? There's a lot of things that we have asked for, and all we have heard is silence.
How can we as a community help?
First off, we can make this visible, and get the attention of the community managers.
Secondly, we can attempt to contact the devs, see what happens. But do so respectfully.
How can the community managers help?
First, by making sure our voice isn't lost in transit. We the community feel like we aren't being listened to.
Second, by opening up lines of contact between the community and the devs. If we have direct contact with the devs, I suspect our actual requests will be in the game, though some people will attempt to abuse the connection, as always happens.
To the community and the community managers...
Please understand that in no way am I insulting the development process. It's actually just infuriating to have our questions and requests covered by a blanket statement, and then never hear anything of them ever again after they've been requested or asked. It's like how if you talk to a friend and you request something of them, they say "Oh yeah I'll do that" and then it never happens.
I realize that there is a lot of toxicity on the Reddit page and in these forums, but I feel like the biggest problem in this game is a lack of direct communication between the community and the developers. Solving that problem would be a huge step in the right direction, so please, for those of you who read this, take the time to make this post visible.
