What the **** is this part 3 of this week's challenge? Having to protect a guy right in the open, with a ****ing pistol, while they drive their cars right into him? The explosions of the car are a bigger issue than the people in them...
I have completed this mission twice already, but once I failed the challenge anyway for some reason? Even then, I keep doing the same thing, but I am not able to change anything myself. The point is that these missions are so much based on luck, rather than skill. It is frustrating, nothing more.
Please come up with some proper challenges in the future. All I want is the Honeybadger, but the process of getting it is painful, to say the least. No wonder so many people are looking for loopholes, because being good at combat seems to be irrelevant here.
I do kinda mean the challenge in combination with the mission. The mission alone was actually fairly enjoyable, but when you're forced to do it with just a pistol it becomes ridiculousOriginally Posted by cordlessimpact Go to original post
Here is a guide to easily do it within the basic parameters of the missions:

I did it that way five times with no issues. Once at Tier 1.
Then if that is still too much of a bother, here is a way to game the mechanics a bit so you never really get shot at:

Only pistol challange was not that hard, just matter of good cover and go with body or head shots and I use red building close to the bomb. It has good view on objective. Call in rebels distration away from the bomb ,not close to close or they throw explosives cause the mission to fail.Originally Posted by JensDekkersNL Go to original post
I agree with this. I don't really mind challenges being extremely difficult, but denying us weapons we'd logically use is a bizarre lipogramme.Originally Posted by Hugo-FOU Go to original post
I think the way I completed the mission would have been a good challenge idea actually. As I mentioned in a previous thread I started a massive three way battle between SB, rebels, and Unidad and mostly avoided any combat myself. In a way I think it's more fun from the perspective of the story. Imagine Unidad also find out about the dirty bomb. Corrupt as they are they aren't cool with SB irradiating a city. So they show up to intervene. And of course rebels are there to protect the people and such.
While the chaos of such a battle might increase the danger to the lorry and necessitate a few replays to nail it I think that's a better challenge idea because it is both difficult and sensible. Ubi would have to modify their "faction warfare detected" function to include rebels the player calls in since the last time we had a challenge that was "initiate faction warfare" it only worked with rebels who were just randomly out and about rather than ones the player summoned.
Honestly, I think we can only expect stupidity from here on out till SO4 and the fallout from the dumpster fire it will inevitably be. If they are high enough to even green light a Year 3, they might as well change the in game soundtrack to a loop of Yakety Sax.
