I have the xbox version and I've played and unlocked tons of stuff. If I buy the PC version, since it's linked to my ubisoft account, do all of the items Ive unlocked/purchased count toward the new pc version? Or is it a brand new game/experience no matter what?

Everything I've read is that your items are tied to your account. In theory I assume the opposite if you create a new account with the PC.

The answer is no.

I got the game for free as part of a promotion when buying a 1080TI when it came out. I could tell you and confirm that nothing transfers over even if it’s the same account. Only Ubisoft credits transfer

I assume what you are referring to other items available on Console through the same account are not available on PC. Then yes this is correct. Same account but you have to unlock everything again

Nothing is transferable between platforms. I have both copies too and can confirm.
