Feels pointless playing due to rubber banding

Never known a game with rubber banding this bad, it just completely kills the fun. What is the point of this ridiculous feature? Glad i bought this on disc so i can sell it.

Well, you never played Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005) or did you? Because the Rubberbanding in that one is way stronger.
That is besides the point though. What difficulty do you play on and in which race(s) do you experience rubberbanding the most?

Yeah, AI going from +14 secs behind to passing you up at 300 mph while you're already at max speed, all in a time frame of less than 3 seconds, isn't rubberbanding. You're delusional.

How in the world did you achieve that? In all my 500+ hours of playing the game the AI hasn't passed me once in a manner you descried. Only time the AI passed me at high speed is when I myself am storming along a highway or straight road and a soccer mom in her minivan or a tree decide to say HI to my face. Even then I recover really fast or just restart the race if it's near the end. Again to summarize: "Only when I make mistakes, or drive like crap I get passed."

100% Agree. The rubber banding in the game is beyond insane and ruins the races.

Countless times I’ve led for 95% of the race, but clip one corner or tree etc. on the last turn/ stretch and BOOM, all 7 cars fly past me. HOW? It’s absolutely absurd.

Why should I bother playing if it doesn’t matter how well I drive, when one slow corner or small crash sends me to 8th? Often my lead is so huge even second place shouldn’t be able to catch me. It’s just ridiculous.

The rubberbanding used to be there, can definitely agree, but it is near non-existant now. I can win the Harley Davidson Red Rock Run and the New York Hypercar race without ever seeing the AI, except near the start.
And during the HC events, I don't use the best possible vehicles, but instead the cars I personally like (McLaren F1).
The only instance where I can think of the AI being insane is "A Tour with Alexis: Golden Hills", but besides that there is nothing.

Which race(s) specifically do you guys have problems with? Which vehicle are you using? What difficulty and what perflevel are you on?

Not insulting at all. You are a far superior driver to everyone else, and there really isn't a point to any one of us suck *** drivers who can't drive to have an opinion.

    Or even bother playing.

Game over, let's see how they can make TC3 less friendly.
